"Balanced"? Really? Do you fall over a lot, Jack?
What's particularly interesting is that the article doesn't talk about functionality at all, but instead links to a very short other article which does.
As far as I can see, it can measure my heart rate, and maybe some other things which any smart phone can do already.
Besides being nice looking for a digital watch, what's actually new and useful here? Or is that an awkward question that I'm not meant to ask?

I'm guessing you're speaking from experience for the things you said a few a few of years ago regarding larger screens, bigger numbers, NFC, "gimicky" features, etc of Samsung phones you're now seeing in the iPhone 6/6+
No, I was talking about iPhone, your ilk "Stupid", iPad, your ilk "Dumb", Watch, your ilk "Stupid" those things, big things.
Nothing wrong with that. Cats like shiney things e.g. torch light, tinsels and Christmas decs etc., and they're the coolest creatures on the planet!
Jack, thanks for informing. Can't wait for the Apple watch to come out.

Was thinking about the iWatch the other day. Why didn't Apple put more into using the 6th generation ipod nano? They were most of the way there a good 4 years ago, it wouldn't have taken much to make the old nano the iWatch.
That's pretty much what they did, it works as an iPod. Way more sensors though right next to your skin.
Today's the day folks, well, we'll get a release date I don't expect to be running out to the store tomorrow.
This is a great site for trying different options http://mixyourwatch.com
I'm going Space Grey Aluminium and Black Leather, sexy!

Apparently battery life is 18 hours, wow!
Other functions demonstrated by Apple included:
using the Watch as a means to open a compatible hotel room as an alternative to a key card
checking the name of a song via the app Shazam
opening an internet-connected garage door
Sounds really useful.

Call me crazy but I just don't see the point.
£299 for the Apple Watch Sport ( I assume it has less features hence lower price)
£479 for the Apple Watch
A lot of money for something that will probably never really take off. I have no doubt they will sell loads of them as some people 'just have to' have them.
I'm not hating on Apple as I have a ipad and it's fantastic for what it
does.
