Time for another watch thread
Apple have released more guided tours http://www.apple.com/watch/guided-tours/
Directions are going to be so good, I often find myself using my phone when out in a new city.

I wonder how many people will be tempted to use these devices whilst driving. "Some" people seem to be able to resist the urge to use their mobiles while driving but how tempting is this going to be? It's still the same distraction as reading your phone, possibly more as its such a small screen.

Yes.
Also, with your cost effective mentality, you need to stop using your mobile phone altogether. It must be a sheer waste of money for someone like you. Why take a nagging brick of any size or any make everywhere with you, when you know that you can always use your landline back home, if you have any patience? I bet people already larf at you as it is, when you're talking into your mobile on the streets.
Don't give me the excuse of emergencies either. Didn't people survive emergencies without the mobile phones in past? They did. Actually, didn't people survive without any phones, even the landline, in past? They did! You can always stick a .50p in your local phone booth, and call anyone you like, ad hoc. It shouldn't take you too long to get to your community phone booth, I believe?
Save your money, dpb! Not that you can take your savings up there with you one day, but just do it, anyway.
PS: Not sure of it takes a £1 minimum, to make a call from the street side phone booth, these days. Blame the government for it, and check it out by trying it yourself.
The unadulterated loyalty often invovles brand-centric fan groups, which scientists refer to as brand communities. These groups, which have formed around Apple, Harley-Davidson and even Hello Kitty, seem to rise up largely without the aid of sly marketing campaigns and instead by grassroots movements with their own rituals and traditions. Some even say the Apple community has the makings of a cult, with fanaticism that comes close to religious furor.
These groups can form out of necessity, the desire to be part of a community, and a shared sense that members understand something that, well, not everybody else gets.
In addition, Apple fans always have something new to keep their interest, an important component in fueling any fanaticism, researchers say. And, as is the case with fans of any brand, objects can become more than the sum of their parts — they can represent a lifestyle and more.

To be fair, whilst you can reach your Watch, trying to read the tiny notification about a foot and a half away means taking your eyes off the road for longer while you twist your grip on the wheel and/or swap hands to read the notifications. It's just another distraction in the car that could cause and accident.
