LOL and there we have it...Another example of Apple exploiting users blind loyalty...the new must have item is....an effin watch???... How did we manage to tell the time before LOL It'll be on every doley's Christmas list this year. I remember when the big Ipad non revolution started and the hype was like surgeons were going to be using Ipads to do keyhole surgery (exaggeration lol) but instead droves of a certain calibre of parents (non working type) were convinced their children needed this new wonder gadgetry to help with their schoolwork...and well because laptops had probably gone out of fashion....There's a ton of them in Cash Converters these days and their kids prob still ended up teen Mums

Apple do a great job of mugging off an eager fan base who buy into the whole brand without question...They make a watch...you buy a watch...no thought required. Apple is a fashion, fad or trend choice...some people can't accept that and are certain they arrived at the choice all on their own through independent judgement and reckoning yet still they seek the acceptance of others. I buy what I like not what I think will make me accepted or look up to date. I despise the media controlled world we live in where this sort of idiocy proliferates and this sort of facile nonsense is given a platform. You want to buy another fashion accessory...just buy it...but to extol it's virtues as some sort of revolution or a game changer is laughable...The only way the game is changing is that the public are more easily led these days. If Apple sold excrement as face cream Apple users would buy it en masse in the blink of an eye.

"iPad non revolution" really? You're so out of touch you should consider buying an iPad to keep up. Your opinion is both sheepish, childish and pointless. Well done.

Jack my dear fellow...you are deluded...plain and simple. I actually despair of you.

You accuse me of being a an Android fan...no...just something I have...you are on her banging on about Apple like their No.1 fan...you accuse me of being a sheep...no...I make my own choices and that needs no defence...and again you are banging on about Apple like a love struck 14 year old and feeling secure gaining acceptance in your flock...So far there is a strong thread of accusing me of what you are actually doing yourself but are too blind too see. It's funny...a frustrating and sad indictment on today's society but your continual insistence to argue that black is white is funny nonetheless

I'm definitely accusing you of acting in the same way as the people you berate. You blindly assume that all Apple products are worthless and trot out the same diatribe as a million other blind sheep. You have no interest in the Apple Watch, yet you're quite prepared to spend time insulting others for their choice, sometimes you're better off not saying anything.

I notice you chose to also totally ignore the many facts in my post...like the fact that Apple products are the doley's number 1 choice and surgeons aren't using them as a revolutionary tool for keyhole surgery. Just gimmicky trinkets to satisfy the easily pleased and controlled masses

Take a leaf out of your own book buddy...the more you speak the more juvenile this gets. Get over it man...so you love all Apple stuff...cool...that's nice dear...that's your choice so enjoy it...each to their own. To me it's just trinkets mate and I won't be defined by them and certainly don't need the acceptance of others in my choices.

Again Jack...sheep follow...you follow...I make my own choices so no amount of you calling me a sheep is going to make black white in this instance.

Heard it all before, exactly the same delusion of independence, often turns out you're more brandwashed than the Apple users you have a problem with.

Apple did nothing, app runs on iOS and an iPad, software was written in Xcode on a Mac. That's a lot like saying NASA had nothing to do with landing on the moon.

It's nothing like that at all. What you're actually saying is like taking a taxi and thanking the car manufacturer for taking you from A to B instead of thanking the taxi driver. You try to make it sound like Apple created the iPad so that it can be used to work "miracles" in the medical and aviation industry. I don't believe that was in Apple's design brief. Their brief is solely to extract more money from consumers with their tech and nothing more. The iPad would be just another useless tech without its apps from third party developers.

No Jon, you need to wind your neck in, I gave links to iPads being used in Surgery after being told that iPads are not used in Surgery.

As for useless without apps, you're wrong there too, I'm replying to you right now and have been using my iPad and nothing from 3rd party developers all morning. Very useful.

Just like every other mobile device out on the market; nothing new, nothing unique, and could be done way before iPads hit the market.

But no one did and 5 years later it's still not matched. Sometimes you'd be much better off biting your lip.

What are you on about?!! You've been on this forum longer that I have posting on forums and surfing the web way before iPads. As for not matched, I and I'd say many more still prefer responding to your posts typing using a good ol' fashioned keyboard and/or laptop instead of pressing fingers on a small 10 inch piece of glass, you still use a keyboard afterall.

Some times you'd be better off not cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Outside of work I don't use anything else. The iPad is Game Changing. If you want to carry on about the iPad there's a thread in Computer Related.

Mate...you wouldn't know a droid owner cos they're generally not on here starting shallow threads about technology that's been used for years like it's some major new revolutionary life changing event.

Hardly likely to ever be right against a deluded consumer led fad driven fan base. And likewise I hope you eventually wake up, grow up look back on it and realise how shallow your adulation is. Maybe then you'll get some substance in your life and not need to seek the acceptance of others to bolster such puerile arguments. I don't know...go out, get a girlfriend or just get a life...one that isn't measured by the toys you've ascribed a deluded and misplaced sense of importance to. Do you drive a Subaru? At the moment, you're coming across like a Smart Car pilot that stays up into the wee small hours playing World of Warcraft lol

You have a false impression of me, I'm an IT professional who after years of working with and removing infections from Windows machines moved exclusively to Apple products, they've saved me money and time, am I not allowed to enjoy that?

You on the other hand are just a sad ****er that see's a thread about Apple and instantly starts shouting "deluded consumer led fad driven fan base" and other weak and very common arguments, you have no interest in the products but just want to stomp your feet a bit, I don't mind you wasting your time, it's somewhat amusing, but don't be in any doubt that you're coming across as anything but an idiot.
