wrx sti v1
That look like an excellent project mate. Looking forward to pics after a clean. Does it have the original steering wheel with the carbon fibre type effect ring around the horn with sti on it. I'm in the process of making a mold for an actual carbon fibre one as mine was flaking of an looks a bit nasty. Oh just don't facelift it.
Mine was bought 2 years ago after being sat in a garden for quite a few years. Mine has pretty bad paint on the bonnet and the roof looks a bit flat. I'm planning on getting a respray on mine. I've owned for over two years now only replacing power steering pump to a face lift model also replaced front brakes for 4 pots. It gets used as a daily by my girlfreind after she had minor bump in her Punto gt which I'm currently restoring so after that's done it'll be the scoobys turn. It's been a very reliable car. It has 130k on clock with 89k of that in kilometers. I love it and will probly never sell it all be it is very juicy. Also got a print out from 2009 done as a health check and recorded 275 bhp. Only mods hks panel filter and unknown exhaust and no cat in the downpipe it came to the country like this.

Best way to clean that initially is some good vehicle de greaser and a foaming lance if you have access to one if not use an old hand spray bottle, I always keep my empty bottles and re use them. I would first off de grease a few times and wash off only without touching the paintwork, trick now is to get that as clean as you can without touching it. It will pay to first concentrate on all the drainage channels so everything drains away as that green may have blocked a few things up. After you have cleaned it I would be tempted to the clay bar the whole car.

What a fantastic find that is, looks in fairly original condition too which is bloody rare these days. Nice to see it still has the huge rear spoiler that was used on the very first STI's.
Not sure if it needs rear brakes but I'm about to advertise a complete set very cheap.
I'll also have a pair of decent front 4 pot discs and pads too if you need them

I would imagine when the car gets to this country the people at the company importing the car could remove any cool bits ie boost gauges, turbo timers and version 1 sti split rims and replace with some like mine had. I also had two holes on the steering column for a lamco boost gauge but no gauge. Oh and no flare but I believe your not supposed to have these in the car for sva or somthing.
