Huge exhaust got a fettle too, not to my taste and will be coming off soon but still no excuse for it not being clean ...

Had the day off work today to finish another project, our ensuite bathroom! Ha! Was worth it though to finally finish so I can concentrate on the scoob! Managed to quickly chuck in the new seats though, really happy with how they look and the interior transformation...

Things are moving apace! Looking loads better Drew. Regarding the exhaust, I know it's not to your liking but the quality and fitment is spot on. Unless you're paying big money any replacement will be inferior.

He keeps texting me and emailing me silly offers for it, but it's not for sale at any price!

I've got a replacement exhaust lined up, it's defiantly more expensive (a lot more!) but by no way more inferior!

Yep sounds like Maz! You should do him a package deal on that jet fighter steeringwheel. That's a bobbidazzler!

So, the standard bonnet sold today so thought I would have an hour on the car getting it stripped ready for the front end facelift and front mount intercooler.

So bonnet came off....

Followed by the rest of the front end plus trail fit of the hks filter which I don't think will be staying on the car long term...

The front bumper bar has however seen better days, so need to source a new one...

Plus also fitted the the wrc style door mirrors...

Slow progress but at leasts it's progress! So here's how it sits at the moment...

Had my favourite tools out tonight, hammer & grinder!

Starting modding the front panel, bumper bar and inner wing ready for the front mount, plus trial fitted the facelift bonnet...

I was waiting for the first comment regarding the size of my hole! Ha!

Want to run a cold air feed through there also!

You know my feelings on your ra! Leave it alone and just sell me the wheels and engine, fact just sell me the full car! Ha

Haha, every spare minute I get I'm hatching plans for it
You'd be surprised how many offers I've had on the car and the wheels !
Intake won't be any good down there when you go rotated hehe

Bit more done today, decided to see what the carbon wing I bought looked like, still not sure about it but will see how it looks once the cars finished...

Before...

After...

Before...

After...

Next I removed the radio, cigarette lighter and tidied the mammoth of wires for the stereo and Tein EDDC controller then started to make a mock template for the replacement centre console I'm planning...

Now I have the template, I'm going to make the real thing out of some 5mm carbon sheet and a few other switches for future use and maybe a couple of gauges if there's room!

I prefer the mid level spoiler also, tbh I prefer a carbon boot with no spoiler but that's not very helpful
Cracking on with all the bits and bats drew so you'll soon be able to use it.

Group-buy on the cardboard effect centre console mod anyone?

Looking forward to following this post! Few steps behind you with a classic wrx project of my own so will be nice to appreciate someone else making similar/more progress!

Thanks! Carbon sheet arrived today so will hopefully make a start on it shortly. Good luck with yours and hope you enjoy it as much as I am.

I've just ordered the new engine, turbo, injectors, ecu, headers and FPR, so some pretty big updates coming for it! Then hopefully have some fun in it!

Managed an hour or two today on the car!.

The carbon sheet arrived for my centre console so 1st job was to trim it to size and trial fit...

Next I cut out the holes for the tein Efdc controller plus a push button start and a toggle switch I had lying about. There are gonna be a few more switches eventually, but happy how it looked for now...

The new front facelift bumper had arrived the other day also, so couldn't wait to trial fit...

However, my excitement was short lived. The bumpers previous owner had cut each side to accommodate a set of abw arches!, rendering the bumper useless to me as you can see...

So, I stripped the bumper of the front lip, lights and fog covers and was forced to start cutting and fitting the other bumper I had previously bought...

Plan is to swap and the fog covers and lip over to this bumper once it's trimmed and ready for paint.
