Yeh the wattage mode has and will always be good for me,just the crown came with Ni200's so thought I would give em a go,plus one of the reasons I bought the TC mod is.....it's the future
It's pretty good tbh and when I get to know how to use it to it's full potential then I'm sure it will only get better,I fancy trying the different coil&wire types as well

The Heisenberg turned up today,,
Very nice indeed!!!

So the kbox is now sporting the v3 and what a great tank it is
Loving the top side fill and the draw is perfect.

Tried for ages to build a dual Ni200 Clapton for bloody ages but couldn't get it to run need more practice I think(the ohm tester had it at 0.07 but no joy). The eleaf tester seems to read higher than what the mod does?
So built a dual Kanthal, which read 0.35 on the tester but is 0.15 on the mod
Anyway over all a great setup with some lovely juice

Great stuff

The flavour grows on you! trust me, very addictive and found some concentrate !

Just await a verdict from a mate, he said it smells very nice and be vaping it soon.
https://www.vampirevape.co.uk/review.../list/id/1230/

Looks right too and gets good reviews, at £10 for 30ml=150+ml its certainly cheaper to vape!

Glad you like the tank, the top fill is excellent and just a fantastic vape. Love the base design too, just well thought out and easy to work with compared to many others that can be a little fiddly.

Enjoy!!!
Oh , the Heisenberg, other than menthol, i can taste black current and a hint of liquorice ...........can you taste anything else in there?

Yes ven, getting the fruity current flavor coming through with the menthol, defiantly liquorish, kind of reminds me of the old school kopp kops sweets but with a hint of fruitiness 100% a flavor I will be ordering again.

Good stuff, glad happy as sometimes hate trying to make recommendations as so many variables........

Blue light saber with the Heisenberg I am not even a big fan of menthol types either, in fact its the 1st with menthol i have actually bought(have tried some in the past and ok, just never for me). This flavour has changed the menthol side anyway!

Tank wise, i just simply stick a couple of 0.5ohm coils for a 0.25ohm build, around 30w give/take and happy all day vaping

Will try a lower ohm maybe next time, couple of 0.4ohm or so, dont like going too low as it eats the batteries quicker

The link is good, if anything "more ribena-ish" so will get some of that instead of buying at full whack..........could make up 500ml for £20-£25 !!! never mind 90ml........ouch

Lol
Tbh I was aiming for the same as you're running, 2x 0.5's but it didn't work out for me!
I ended up with a dual 0.15 build, but I spent most of the morning faffing with the claptons and failed so the 1st working A1 coil I built I stuck with, works well tho but around 100w it's gonna eat the battery's pretty quick(thank heavens for the dual mod )

Appreciate the recommendation ven,on my 2nd fill up on that tasty juice

Yes, where dual mods come in! defo need them and when you drop the W , on more "daily type" vapes, the cells will last a good part of the day.

Coils are a bit of a pita, next time if coils are close and reading low, just open the gap a little between each one, this will adjust the ohms.

I had something like 0.15 for both coils, opened the gaps a tad with some ceramic tweezers and brought it to around 0.25 for the dual build .

Also from reading to threading the cotton through, again can easily change the ohms. I just make sure the coils are as close to the base as possible without touching, to avoid the sides when fitting. Also slightly smaller coils hep there too and not too many wraps(can end up a little too long).

All a bit hit and miss at 1st, then once you get it spot on, just remember the coils, gauge etc and should get some consistency.......should Still happens now tbh, but usually 2nd time is all good

Aye it's gonna take a bit of practice getting them builds nice and consistent for sure!
I was looking forward to trying the clapton Ni200 wire but I lost patience, think I must need to do more turns Or less ??(did 5 turns on each)
Even building the A1,I used to do 5 turns when using the subox rba and got 0.5 every time so thought if I did 2 of them then I would have had a 0.25 dual build for the v3. Nope I ended up doing 7 turns on both coils and ended up with a 0.15 dual lol
Defiantly need to do some more reading up on this as I thought the more turns I did would make higher ohms?

I am sure its less coils , also depends on the diameter (internal for wick) and the gauge. Coil calcs help, sure you(have used) will find 3 coil wraps closer to the desired.

When i once put in the gauge and diameter it worked out at 2.5 wraps

So i made the coil diameter smaller and could get an extra wrap or so .

Just space the wraps out a little, once on the reader have a play about, be it opening them a little to squeezing them. Amazing how much difference a little squeeze makes

thought I was being clever and could work it out without a calculator, looks easy but it's far from it! different gauge,diameter,wraps,spacing,material....sooo many variations!!!

So yeh less wraps makes sense now. I will have a play with the Clapton again and see if I can get a build working on the v3,it's a real nice base to work with but for now I'm just happy I have it working and working well
I've started to get a nice collection of cells now so don't mind swapping em when they drain too fast,I'm sure I'll get the hang of it all

http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp

Yes a bit to it, or even just buy a bag full of pre made 0.5ohm coils for not that much more than some wire! Sometimes its easier just to buy bought, kit comes in handy for more specific coils.

I have some clapton wire yet to give a go, next build will try it out! God knows what wraps as its not normal wire .............

Got a bit of wire to use,so will keep trying until I run out, which won't be long with all the **** ups I'm makin lol

Calc works ok for A1 but still don't understand what I'm doing wrong on the calc with Ni200 wire?
So with A1 @ 26awg inside dia@2mm target 0.5ohm is 5 wraps which is correct to what I get. But switch it to Ni200 wire with same setting it says 50 wraps!!!
Can't be right can it? Need to lay off the whiskey I think

super coils!!!

Try 3 or 4 wraps, nice little gap between them this time.

When making them try and not push them up close when winding(gap of a coil wrap), or do it after its made(which ever works easiest).

Once in place get a reading, then simply squeeze together ever so slightly, and read again. If going the wrong way, simply do the opposite(squeeze or open).

Its hard to get spot on, if aiming for 0.25 and it reads 0.33...........imo its fine. Quite a few of my dual 0.25(0.5+0.5) have been higher than what i wanted, ideally a vape between 0.2 ish to 0.35 with dual coils is good for me.

Bare in mind after fitting cotton, its easy for them to close up, so soak in juice as you do. Give it a pulse and see what reading, tweak and test again. Once happy, fit tank and good to vape

Thats pretty much what i do, as i would get it around spot on, fit and be either too high or too low. To save opening up tank, just do it without and on the mod
Of course different base/mod but like

Soaked in juice so it does not burn, couple of short blasts to get an actual "live" reading. One that will not change when tank is fitted. Tweak as it is there,be gentle as even a slight squeeze changes the ohms or visa versa

Nice one, will give it a go with 3 wraps
Am I right in thinking if I want to build vertical coils then I have to wick before fitting? Can't see any other way to get the cotton in once it's fitted in the vertical position.

Even 4, sure i spaced mine out to get the lower ohm when too high, often 3 works out at 3.5 anyway (if makes sense with the legs coming off same way).

Not tried vertical but would say yes, you can get a nice angle on the coil if you want, so an in between if makes sense. Using top hole on left post, bottom hole on right post, visa versa on the other side. Gives a nice angle ............

Not sure how easy it would be on the v3 base! a little tricky i would have thought.

Other than size(drippers are bigger so even easier), the v3 is the best design yet imo.

When heating up at 1st(pre wicking) just make sure the coils heat from the middle out, nice and even. If not you can end up with a burnt taste quite early. Happened to me the other day after forgetting to get them glowing!! Not really any short cuts i have found, ends up taking longer in the end.........even though my short cuts are not intentional, just bad memory!

When I was messing with the Clapton I tried setting em in the vertical and they went in really well on the v3, cheers for the tips,I'll give the build another go tomorrow.
Really loving this Vape tonight tho, great tank and tasty juice! On my 3rd tank full and have created my own weather system in the living room

me too!!!

Had a hell of a dry burn before red hot mouth of burnt! After around 10 draws on a new build, dont know why , started again either way.......not pleasant at all. Not even sure if its the sigelei mod as its only happened on this of past(not a regular occurrence than *beep*)

Next order , going to get some of the Heisenberg concentrate, reports back are very good, little less menthol, little more black current. Quite similar other than that , so a saving to be had!

Look forward to see what you think about the concentrate
Like you say, miles cheaper, and options to customise/tailor to how you like.
Don't get me wrong, this scripture stuff is very nice, the one I got is 50/50 and if I were making my own I would go for a higher VG,maybe even 90-100%? Plus part of my vaping enjoyment is making my own juice

Yes mine is 50/50 , and would do the same and increase the VG% . Still its a nice vape, i am not pushing it though at 0.27 reading and 30W .

Will do, will order some when next due some concentrate

I don't vape anywhere near as much as you lot, maybe 4ml a day if I'm not busy. Is your house covered in residue? My office window and computer screen need cleaning quite often, car is the same, you lot must be scraping it off.

No residue here.

Mount Baker Thug Juice. 70%'ish VG I think but it's been a constant since I started, the car is the most obvious, but the computer gets it bad too.

I have the Zephyrus one from youde or UD

https://www.ukecigstore.com/ud-zephy...-ohm-tank.html

Its a pretty good tank, but imo the crius v3 kicks its *** in pretty much everything, base design, filling design and most important the vape part.

Just ordered some
https://www.vampirevape.co.uk/review.../list/id/1230/

VAPE10 for 10% off in the code part.

Reports are very good so not much of a risk!

Just seen this, so you have ordered the Heisenberg concentrate too? If so nice one, couple of mates were vaping it last night and nothing bad to say. Even a similar blue colour, tad more fruity and a tad less menthol which for me is neither here or there. That is at 20% mix and 80% VG(other 20% PG is the concentrate).

Dont get it in the house or from what i have noticed anyway, not really noticed much on the laptop tbh, car wise a little but nothing drastic. Kind of a slight build up over weeks on the windscreen/drivers window.
