Any one with the TFV4 tank, just gets better

I don't get these things.

If you're not smoking cigarettes, surely you're just swapping that addiction for another one?

Short answer yes

waffle answer

Tbh if you dont get it there will be nothing i can say to change that. Everyone has different views be them right or wrong. Various studies(not crap you read in the sun paper) have proved far better for you than smoking which has 7000 chemicals of which 3000+ are cancer related. Nicotine is similar to caffeine, studies have proved addictive in the early 80's others proved not.....

Ingredients in typical juice is VG, this is found in foods as a preservative and to cough medicines. Nicotine is pretty much found in everything, you have it in you if you eat vegetables(of course a lower dose than smoking) but its in you.

I used to smoke, now i vape instead, i feel better, healthier and enjoy vaping. I have not had a cigarette for 3yrs exactly !! so i get it pretty well.

Someone who is not a smoker wont get it, nor will many smokers. I dont get drinking, thats a drug, kills far more than vaping, can buy over the counter and look at the trouble that causes......just an example.

So its 98% better for you, yes you are swapping one addiction to another but one that is better than smoking. Lesser of two evils !!!

But yes i fully get that people wont get it and agree to an extent yes! Just look at it as stopping you smoking which is obviously not good for you.

Many years back i tried to explain(trust me as good as impossible) to a mate who never smoked etc etc. I smoke about 15 lights a day the, my example as i knew he loved drinking cups of tea(many of) was to imagine stopping his brews for the rest of his life. His answer was no way, he could not........As we know cups of tea are certainly not as addictive as cigarettes (1/2 the caffeine of a cup of coffee in a cup of tea).

What i will say, if you work in a city centre, be it London or Manchester and a none smoker, that lunch break outside, the pollution,carbon/nitrogen monoxide, sulfur etc etc is far worse than vape. Studies have found pretty much the same "pollutants" as in air we breath(not highly polluted city air that is).

Too many studies, lots of articles, lots of contradictions too, nothing to say of course in 5 years time something will crop up..........just like butter!!!

Very true but nicotine isn't likely to kill you, it's setting something on fire then breathing in the smoke that kills you.

Well explained by ven.
Much like many like to have a drink to relax,be it booze or coffee and tea, vaping is a better alternative to smoking,me being a smoker for over 20 years and enjoying smoking I now use ecigs,I can tell you now that not only have the side affects of smoking like being out of breath after 2 mins of exercise or even walking to the shops without wheezing have gone
Vaping is like a breath of fresh air but with as many flavors as you choose.

Thanks to all the guys who've contributed to this thread for getting me to switch to ecigs

Kanger kbox mini platinum and UWELL Crown have arrived, lovely tank, the top fill is so convenient, currently rocking a 0.5ohm dual coil at 40W and some homemade pinacolada e-juice

cracking set up, hopefully see you right for a week

I have not stopped using the platinum, just love it! Only neg is the damn battery cut off at 50% life , 3.5-3.6v is too early. Still flip side, longer cell life with shorter charge cycles but the expense of cells is hardly an issue and last years of use anyway.......

Crown is an awesome tank, still the RBA base is superb for a daily vape if it tends to be on the heavy side. Well worth looking into come that time, you wont look back and there will be no more £10 for a pack of coils, good as free once you buy some wire(or ready made coils) and cotton. Probably 50 coils for £5 equivalent!

Just a crius v3 and good to go for 2016

Yea the quality of the Crown i would say is above that of the subtank V2, it's heavier and a bit longer, the threads are much better and its an airier/smoother vape than the subtank. Drip tip is better as well/bigger, but you can use the subtank drip tip in it as well. Only downside is the tank is 0.5ml smaller than the subtank @4ml but not a problem really. The coils are much better than the Subtank V2 BVC ones, they have 4 juice holes instead of two and a overall a bit bigger oh and cheaper in packs of 4. Yea the pinacolada is sweet. I get all my concentrates from totallywicked. The yellow top (gold standard) packs and sometimes the orange top (original) ones, https://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co...centrates.html

A nice long strip of cotton, twist the end, thread it through, pull back and forth a couple of times, trim the ends and bobs your auntie's brother

If pre made coils work for you tho and you have a nice set up,which you have then happy dayz

I'll just say this thread has been great this year and am sure we can get it to 1100 posts before the end of 2015
So I will wish you ALL the very best and a happy new year

Happy new year guys.

Well thanks to all of you I have not had a cigarette for ish 2 months, yesterday I was at the airport at the crack of sparrows fart for a 7am flight, thought I'd go outside and have a last few tokes before going through security, so out I go and stand in the smoking area and the smell cigarette smoke totally put me off my vape, so much so I just went straight back inside after a couple of tokes, even felt as though I didn't want to be associated with them, so I guess I'm no longer a cigarette smoker, if that's not an advert for vaping I don't know what is.

Anyhow, just made my first batch of juice using capella vanilla custard v2 and very tasty it is too only made up 20ml for now and it tastes pretty much the same as the Element stuff so that's a good result as far as I'm concerned.

I might have a couple of new converts too, a friend I was with last night had a go on my Fuse 650 and ended up taking it with him he's going to give it to his mum as she's in her 60's and a 30 a day smoker, I gave him a tutorial and a few bottles to take away, so hopefully he and his mother will be off the dreaded weed soon too.

Glad you've stuck at it ditchy, well done mate
As well as the instant feel in health benefits, breathing easier ect,the first thing I noticed is how awful the smell of smoke, especially stale smoke was.

Lol, and I think I have a load of clobber with about 25 bottles, 3 syringes, wire and a couple of cotton patches, I think I have some serious catching up to do.

Anyone been tempted by the pipe type mods, as in the ones that look like a tobacco pipe, seen a nice one somewhere on the net recently but it was 50 odd quid, then saw a stainless one for £15 in my uk vape shop but it was a no name and the woman in the shop didn't seem to know anything about it so gave that a miss.

Fancy a bit of pipe and slippers action.

Yes kind of although never bought one, the totally wicked Odyssey one is tempting to me, it looks a comfortable vape!.

Reason why not is the cells, 18350 are great for compact torches with high output imo, not ideal on mec mods which this pipe is. It starts out at 4.2v fully charged, dependent on the coil and voltage sag you could say 3.9v going into the vape and gradually decreasing(wont take long with an 18350(1/2 the length of an 18650 at 18mm wide/35mm long=18350) .

Also the only adjustment to your vape will be by the coil ohm made/fitted being a mec mod(none regulated).

I like my variable and regulated mods so every vape is the same till the mod says no more!

Still to break things up, it may be worth a go SMOK iirc do quite a smart looking one, others look like crack pipes

This is the pipe
http://www.vaporized.co.uk/shop/clea...ian-e-pipe-ii/

Can be adjusted but dont think it will support sub ohm, more a general vape which if you have tanks knocking about , should be fine!

Really liking the look of some of these.

https://www.google.hr/search?q=smok+...ALG8nIgd4wM%3A

A whole new world of mods has just opened up for me.

Do me a favour Ven, have a look at a few of these and see which one you would recommend, I'm sure you won't mind looking at vape related stuff.

Most seem to be SMOK and the wood type which is adjustable is in my link which would tempt me. Though will not support sub ohm so be aware of that.

Generally i like customs stuff, tend to be better made, better components where manufacturers skip corners.

Here is one example, not cheap and a waiting list says it all!
http://www.freighttrainmods.com/

Back to the real world, mec mods of course are for sub ohm but a little reading up to help decision, lots of options here
http://vapingcheap.com/vape/deals/el...e/e-pipe-mods/

If me , it would be the SMOK for normal tanks or
http://www.vapegeek.co.uk/Hammer-by-Hcigar-50.htm

The latter is my overall choice for value, design but again its a mec mod so what A cell you feed it, will determine the output with the coil ohm.

Cheers ven, as usual you've come up trumps.

Going to have to do more research before I commit, but I do like this style of mod, something a little different always appeals to me.

Welcome, me too, nothing wrong with breaking it up and having something a little different. Guess thats why i have a few different tanks as they all vape different!

Most of mine(probably all now as gifted lots) are box mods rather than the pen type. Just prefer the feel in hand, comfort and form factor.

I remember when they 1st come out and i was like WTF , who and why would anyone want that style..........

Amazing over time how our opinions and mind set changes.......

I dont do menthol, never been keen , however for me this one is different. Its certainly ice cool, but fruity too..........hard to describe! Its 50/50 and 3mg and is amazing! Have some 100% VG on the way(another 3 bottles) but cant wait and the local cloud shop had 3 for £20...........not too bad imho.
