Just read the last few posts, me thinks I will have to go back to the start and play catch up a little bit as sounds interesting, will probably get through 20 B&H before I get there though !
Do it mate, I'm about 6 weeks into this and it's lovely, some of the flavours are amazing, which is something I didn't think I'd like, and cigs stink like fahook.
So as always, feeling left out now everyone's buying new vape kit
Be rude not to!
I was going to go for the xcube2 and TFv4 tank but having a look around decided to go for something different.
Still happy with the subox so that will be demoted to my work vape.
The new kit will be for best
Tank is on it's way and the mod is on pre-order,can't wait to get the new setup and will update when it comes.
Quick question,I've just made my 1st proper batch of juice, strawberry shortcake and marshmallow, not had a go on it yet tho,do you guys use it straight away or do we need to steep?
Also I noticed I have AG instead of VG,what's the difference?
I've gone 80% AG 20% PG with 10% flavor does this sound ok?

No need to steep, once it's well mixed its ready to vape.
10% flavour won't be enough, you need around 20%.
Nice one,it tastes a bit weak but wasn't sure if I needed to add more flavor or needed to steep.
Only making up 20ml for now until I get it right.
This is the calculation I'm using....
Yup thats fine, apart from the flavouring i use the same calculator. Don't forget to split the 14.3ml of PG/VG into the ratio you want of the two. 50/50 or 30/70 etc.

AG is slightly more diluted (with distilled water) than VG (thinned/not as gloopy) so gives a slightly smoother vape and is easier to measure as you can pull it through a syringe easier. But you can achieve the same with VG and some distilled water. There isn't really that much difference to be honest, having had both, AG is a bit of a bullsh1t term

Made my 2nd 20ml batch this morning, fruity gum and blueberry 20% and makes for a tasty vape
Using the TW gold label and they're not too bad, have ordered a few flavors from the link you put up ven @/decadentvapours.com
How you getting on with the coil building ven?
I've ordered some 0.15ohm Ni200 coils for when the new tank arrives, also some 24 gauge Wire and some Clapton wire(guessing these won't be easy to make) but hoping to build some super low ohm coils.
Quiet enjoy making my own juice now and making coils is cool
No too bad tbh, not made that many really, maybe 10 or so since got the kit as i have many ready made. Have some clapton wire ready done for coils which makes it easier(cba making the actual wire).
The coil master kit has come in very handy! and a lot easier than having tools all over the place
Well half way there, just await my tank now. Kanger platinum came and impressed with the solid heft feel. Real nice in hand just like the mini except feels quality. 60w and now has TC too
quality feel, no rattly buttons , really like it and suits other stainless tanks spot on. Hope picking time, of course a cold feel at first and showed finger prints easier than other mods. Far from deal breakers and expected really. Just digging deep to find anything negative .
If you want a smart 60w stainless single cell mod that will read 0.1 up with TC then its a recommend
What tank is on this? My Mrs has a Subox mini and the bloody thing just leaks no matter what she does. I've looked at a couple of alternatives today for her...The iSub Apex and the Uwell.
Hi there, its the excellent uwell crown, however it wont work on the standard kanger mini which wont read low enough(ohms).
The RBA base is excellent and has to be bought separate,.
The RBA base for the kanger mini that your misses is having leaks with might be fixed easy. Have you tried the RBA base? If not do you know how to set it up i can guide you through it, its a better vape, nicer flavour and should stop any leaks.

Has she tried using the RBA yet? Mine was leaking bad with the old style horizontal coils, switched to using the RBA and not only is it a better vape I've had not one drop of leakage
I've just ordered the uwell tank to go with my new mod when it arrives, supposed to be a nice tank.

Its a great tank, i am on mine right now and rach is on hers too. Dont forget to buy the RBA which is separate at around £10, easy to work with, clip on top cap(no threads). Pretty easy to get right, just a 3 or 4mm strip, fed through trimmed to base edge, wet with juice and position on base. Fit cap, small crew driver to make sure wick is pushed down and good to go.
Cheers ven,yeh I received the uwell RBA today with 30 lengths of Clapton wire, should get the tank tomorrow but doubt I will get the TC mod before Xmas as it's on pre-order.
@jayallen,I've not done many coils on the kanger RBA yet so ven will be best to advise, all I will say is to not use too much cotton(and use decent stuff) make sure the wick's not too tight to the coil so you can move it in and out easily, also make sure you tighten the RBA into the base nice and tight as well as having the tank tightened up well(not gripping the glass as you tighten)
Uwell crown and kanger platinum, solarforce L2T stainless with oveready cryos custom CU bezel and a vinh quad drop in (CQvn) with 4x xp-g2 @5000k neutral for the dark nights ...........dont even ask how much
Just await my tank still, hoping mr postman will drop it off today along with a new boost gauge
Yes we had a go with the RBA but it still leaked and she mentioned the taste wasn't as clean as the OCC coils.
Any advice on setting it up etc would be greatly received.
Bare in mind, new wicks can take a tank or so to bed in, to get past that cotton taste, then flavour will flood out............hopefully not out of the air holes!!
Like i said, send it to me (would send one but dont have spare) and will post back same day, no trouble at all and will cost you 70p
3mm strip about 30mm tops in length
twist one end tight, maybe 10mm of it
Feed through coil
Pull back and forth so even in coil, trim each end to a couple of mm past the base in length
wet wicks to position easier on base above juice channels
place cap over and if needed poke the wick in with small driver
Secure cap with small screw
Look down(undo the top lid part that is threaded for ease) and push into place better, refit top part, make sure dry threads and fit tight!
Fit to tank, few drags with no power and start W off low, maybe 10w
Thanks for the offer Ven, much appreciated but I think I've got it sussed....Even so that I rebuilt 2 of her OCC coils today although she has yet to try them.
Glad it looks like its sorted, trust me i still make **** ups now and have to rebuild. They are less frequent but do happen still.........allway learning
Some nice RTA's out now (re-buildable tank atomizers) so no pre bought coils, just bases. Bonus is vape/cloud/flavour like drippers but with the convenience of tank fed. Other bonus is easier to work with than these fiddly little bases that are not the best for sausage fingers Nice big holes for thicker gauge wires without trying to fit under cheap chinese screws!
Stick with it, it pays off in many ways, financially is one, better vape is another.
Always trial and error at 1st and admit its more error at start, soon be knocking build up in no time
Tip, every time you top up, check the coil is secure as can and will come loose=leak due to passing the O ring. Also for future tanks, make sure enough wick to cover the juice channels or fluid will pass and leak into the centre and out the air holes.
Once i get my new tank i will do a little review, thoughts, impressions and pics, if a recommendation or not
This baby, top side fill as after having top or side, no going back to removing tanks upside down and faffing, just so much more quicker, convenient and less messy https://www.naturevape.co.uk/obs-crius-v3
Well it has arrived and spent the last 20 mins faffing with the coils as too low ohm to register.....either way i just opened the coils and it upped the ohm's =job done at 0.28ohm dual coil
Pic heavy as i kind o get carried away
Tank
There are coils supplied i found after building some ............
Base, 4 holes with hex not screws= far better!!!
Hex driver.......nice touch
Build before i changed coils and opened them up to raise resistance
Wicked
Coils opened and worked a treat
Best bit i really like now!!! look here at the holes under the wick that lead to the outside of base
Wicks pushed down and fed through, easier to keep a little twist at the end to aid feeding through
Still awake!!!
Big air hole, wow is this an airy tank if you want it
So ready to go
Now another bit i really like, as well as the air adjuster, there is a juice adjuster, for PG or VG, the latter requires to be open more or fully due to being thicker.......great !!
Closed(look at the circle dead centre at bottom of tank)
air and juice open
Another bit i love and best yet for filling imo.......wow thats 3 things in 1 tank i love!!! got to be heading for a recommendation here!
Slide the top section up to reveal the fill
Fill and slide down, not too much too little resistance there, well designed
My new vape together
Looks pretty cool to me, maybe not to everyone but i love it
The drip tip is a nice size, fat but not too!!! cool as well in use
Random comparison, goblin mini/V3/TFV4/UD Zephyrus
Distructions
Thanks for getting this far and hope of some help to my fellow vape family
Now how does it vape...........still bedding in, but initial impressions are very good. The clear tip naturally clouds up, air fully open may actually be too much so tweaking there is key. To put into perspective............its airier than the tfv4!!!!! Guess thats says it all
Quick update, buy one........simple as that, its awesome and user friendly, the top side fill is simplicity at its best. The vape flavour is well up there with any of the better tanks.......if not surpassed.
Nice one ven
Looks a nice tank does that, like the RBA having an extra 2 holes for the multi coils to sit must make it an easier build. I will be ordering a crius cheers
I received some nice vape mail yesterday, uwell crown in black,RBA and some nice juice flavours from decadentvape,I see what you mean about the presentation, cool
Made up my 1st batch, worth the extra pennies, nice intense flavour.
I made my 1st Clapton coil,on the tester at 0.10ohm so might attempt a duel coil with the Clapton wire, just gutted I can't use it yet as my TC mod is still on pre-order
Something to look forward to in the new year tho.
I want a black crown just cant justify as i have 2 stainless..........yeh as if that stops me!
You will love the v3, it is excellent, the tops/side fill is as good as it gets imho, so easy and quick,no leaks.
Flavour is amazing !!
I always aim for at least 0.5ohm for dual builds or it can require too much W and eats batteries. I faffed a good bit with this v3!!! my builds were coming in at 0.15 which normally would be ok, but on the platinum it did not like it. So re-made 2x 0.5ohm and now reads 0.23 and works a treat.
Swapped the drip tip from the tfv4 over as the clear does my head in with condensation(still a nice vape with it though).
Wont pick up the oled display for some reason, all i can say is its very clear and nicer than the kanger mini one.
Nice one ven

I bought 1m of clapton wire and made a coil, tbh its nice and easy to work with but will only fit certain RBA bases due to the gauge. I struggle even with the calc to tget the ohms right!! Some for a 3mm diameter with 28g, was 1.3 wraps........WTF. So 2mm or preferred 2.5mm i can get 3 or 4 wraps.
Now also a little trick i found that you may know, coils is built and in base, ohms are too low and its Carefully with tweezers, open the coils a tad, a little gape between each of the wraps and the ohms go up! So from say a 0.15 build, 0.3 can be achieved with a little tweak!. Just a thought and i find 2.5mm the ideal diameter for easy wicking and working with. 3mm is even easier but can be a tad too big for some bases, ohms can be too high with 4 or 5 wraps too(like 1.2ohm) but then again, 2 x 1.2ohm= a nice 0.6ohm dual build!! No too harsh..........
It does start to get more enjoyable once the teething crap is out of the way, kind of satisfying when someone is amazed at the flavour, smoothness of the vape when you have made it all!!!
