Just a touch

Today was mapping day with Andrew Carr at TEG Sport, set off at 7 am to arrive at 9am but alas the M62 was up to it usual traffic laden shennanigans

Have to say TEG Sport's facilites are bang on and would recommend them no problem

All strapped up and Andrew has a little play with v power map @1.4 bar and we end up with a nice easy run.

As I only wanted low boost and high boost, Andrew had a little play with the boost setting should I decide I want more in future. 1.6 bar gave 499, 1.8 bar gave 524 and 2 bar finished at 541.

Quick drain off the tank and filled with a 20% meth mix which I had premixed in a 25 litres drum, so secretly I was hoping for 580bhp. Quick run at 1.4 bar yielded 514bhp, this made me hopeful for 580, next run at 2 bar only 560bhp which I did feel little down about but Andrew adjusted the boost and next run we hit 579.9

I thought ok I am happy with the but Andrew wanted to refine the map, I had found a comfy spot and let him crack on, so any more power now was a bonus in my eyes. Little more boost and boom 595! so close to 600 that I could taste it, hell lets give it 2.2 bar and we cracked 600bhp

Massive thanks to Andrew Carr, Andy and the lads at Richard Henry and Mikee Singh for the advice along the way. With the gates piped correctly we only needed 54% wastegate duty to hit target boost.

The 3 main things I noticed are the pull to the limiter is smoother, the boost recovery after a gearchange is pretty much instant now and spool is smoother

Sounds like a massive improvement to how it drives overall then. That's gotta be some fun now!

As the whole car sounds and looks properly sorted now I'll look out for the for sale thread in 2 weeks time?

Yep feels like the car it should have always been finally

you know me too well but I'm thinking of doing some rwyb and see if I can hit a 10 in this car too before I move it on. After my previous listing most likely wont be listed for sale on here though

What kind of boost are we talking at 3k?

I was astounded to be pulling 0.5-0.7bar by 3k on mine. It's a hoot to drive....
