Default Gold brembos on a classic

Evening all
I've bought some gold brembos to fit to my classic on the fronts. I was 99% certain the wheels wouldn't fit and sure enough i was right. My wheels are currently 17 x 5 x 100 7j with an et38. I'm looking at the rota wheels but they only seem to come in 8.25j which I think would be to wide for a classic?

Anyone know what I can fit under the classic arches without arch extensions?

Cheers for that. There very similar to what I have at the moment (style wise) also looking at the Japan racing jr5 but I think they would be a no no.

STI wheels 01-04 will fit and clear the brembos. Not sure if they'll be too wide for the classics or whether the et will too much. They're et53 I think.

Yes that is an option but im looking for something more deep dish than standard rims.

I've spoken to some suppliers and no one can tell me if the Jr wheels will fit. The manufacturers don't give them a list of cars there wheels fit which I find rather strange

If I'm correct in thinking the wrx hawk has the old cast 4 pots as fitted to the classic/bug/blob? You will have more options with these calipers as there is good clearance. The gold brembos that I have are a lot wider and a lot bigger all together.

Thanks for the input Joe

I've emailed driftworks in the hope they can give me some guidance on what will fit over these brembos and not be to wide for my arches

You are correct and with decent brake fluid, pads, braided lines and discs they are just fine unless you are running stupid power.

As an alternative the Godspeed Brembo upgrade does a great job and fits under standard offset 17's.

I have these on my Leggy.
