Catalunya Soptted in Southend
At last confermation that I am not alone I have spotted another "Catalunya" I have spent a year looking and found one hiding on my doorstep in southend 
!!
The poor woman (Cat No' 87) was prob a bit freaked out when some random bloke pulled up next to her in the street talking @ random about coming to the Essex Scooby Crew posers cruise LOL
I know this isn't much of an event and I know the Catalunya isn't the most exciting of the Impreza Ltd models but as I am sure you know at only 199 built they are rare, so to me it is an event
LOL
Anyone know of a Catalunya regester, wondered how many are still about as I have seen a couple of bits on ebay from catalunya's that have been advertised by breakers, I still have have my old VW Beetle 1978 "Last Edition" (only 300 built) and I have that on the "Last Edition" regester, found it helpfull from time to time?

I wonder where my old CAT has got to?
It was No. 100. Kept it standard except for some Safari 8 spoke alloys. Did 74,000miles in 3 years from new including a trip to Catalunya to watch the WRC.I know it was sold through the Derby Subaru dealer at least once after I p/xed it for a P1

Right then, I've compiled the data from the owner's on here, what P55GAZ and Chris have posted and what I've got from autotrader over the last couple of years. The date after the number is when it was advertised.
In addition to these I have adds for 29 cats for which a number wasn't given. Taking into account this data, then we know of about 74. Some of these may no longer be on the road, but it gives a rough estimate of which are still around. And of course some of the ones that are still unaccounted for may have been scrapped etc. But I think it looks quite healthy.

think I will email Phil Stephens about a permenant Cat regester on the SIDC site think it would be cool Also if anyone needs a set ot Catalunya badges replaced because of a prang or respray rb5_286 from essex scooby crew took pictures and measurement from mine when he made up my essex scooby crew stickers so he is able to make them up for us
He also made me up some really cool SUBARU/CATALUNYA sun strips if anyone wants? Will try and get some pics posted up tomoz

I have owned Catalunya number 002 for about five years now and I love it very much, I don't think it's ever been to Scotland, I must check the log book.
I intend to keep it forever and will shortly be going down the 2.5ltr engine route.
I have been told that number 001 was written off, but this was only word of mouth. Nice to know there are otehr cats out there.

good to see other cats about i have seen one in thetford and he was pulling out of a drive can only assume its his. ive had mine 3 years and i love the old war horse

Good to see this resurected again.
Yep have still got no.99 which lives with me in Hamilton Scotland. I bought it off a scoobynet member (Gazza99) were it lived in Cheshire for a few years.
A cracking car - totally love it and a fairly rare model too
