Default Respray gone wrong! 5900 quid down the drain??

Hi,

Any help or advice on this would be great. I have had a full respray and the panels look different shades. The painter is saying it is impossible but they are definitely different colours. What do you think?

Other faults are:

Micro blistering on the roof
Repairs showing through the paintwork
Dirt/Silicone in the paint on all areas of the car
Paint put on far took thick with runs, ripples, orange peel and thick edges
Door and bonnet put on wet causing peeling paint
Masking tape ball painted over in engine bay
Inlet manifold bolts not even tightened

Any comments would be massively helpful, I need to get this sorted, this is my pride and joy

With your list above! And the doors being different colour!

I'd be driving that back to the place who did it! Wouldn't pay 800 for that work

No, honestly. Really not a wind up!
This was supposed to be a mint show standard full respray with a couple of small bits of bodywork. His own car is show standard with magazine coverage to prove it and is painted in Kandy which should be far more difficult than a pearl!

I paid more than I could have got it done for as I wanted it done as well as it could possibly be done, not the cheapest.
I wrongly thought that I would get what I paid for

What is your opinion of the blisters on the roof after about 6 month? Is that going to get worse?

The whole car needs prepped and painted again. If you actually did pay £5900 for this bodywork then I'm afraid you are insane. Sorry.

You got ripped off.

Not having a dig, but I'm curious as to why you felt a Subaru forum was the best place to post this? Are you trying to find the Impreza P1 he painted a while back?

Wow u got bummmmed hardcore dry no lube no bruh. I paid around 800 for mine and is 100 times better than that. Only one or two small rough areas such as orange peel but nothing major. That is **** id get someone to shaft him. Cant be paying out 6k for that. Buy a whole damn car for that much.

I don't want to sound harsh, but £5900 on a respray?? Trying to justify that price by saying its for show standard is irrelevant tbh because any full fresh respray should be show standard anyway... It will have never had any effects from road driving to not be.

I had my old car completely stripped and resprayed from bare shell and only cost me just over £1000, and it was perfect when it was done, so someone charging 6x that ( then doing a **** job to top it off ) I'm sorry but you were mad to pay that in the first place.
