Default My Forester stolen last night (06-08-15)

My 1997 Forester T/tb (J5 TRV) was stolen from my driveway last night. Audacious thieves indeed seeing as the car was parked underneath our bedroom window and we only heard the flat four rumble away when it was too late. Police and insurance now notified.

If you could keep your eyes peeled for this distinctive car (black, gold wheels, grey leather interior, automatic, private reg!) in the Bradford, Halifax, Keighley and Skipton area.

Much appreciated.

Thats **** mate How did they steal it?? Did they come into your house for the keys???

There was another member on here from up near you, who had his Impreza Type RA stolen a couple of months ago!!

Might be the same people targeting Subaru's???

I reckon they popped the lock. Not the first time its been tampered with. Last December the driverside lock had been crowbar'd. They must have been disturbed and run as we found a hammer on the front lawn after the snow had melted!!! Had to get a replacement door and sprayed up as well. Oh no, I can feel the red mist descending again. Time for a beer

I'm over that way quite a bit. I'll keep my eyes open. Seems West Yorkshire is having a bad time with Imprezas and robbers.
Did your immobiliser and alarm not kick in?
We got burglarized about 4 years ago while we slept upstairs. Brand new windows and doors yet they fitted them with the burglar friendly locks!!!! Unhappy doesn't describe it.
We now have snap bolts everywhere, trip sensors, cameras. In the last 4 years I've caught 4 attempted burglars on my cameras. I only know about it when a neighbour has been done over and the police come to me...and sure enough they targeted my house 1st. What's worse is that every last one of these scum clock the cameras...and carry on!!!
I'm going to leave my spare key on the coffee table, without a battery in it. This way if they do somehow get past all my defences then when they open the car door the car alarm will sound.
Also got an immobiliser map on my ECU, which is pin protected by the Toucan.

We got burgled for our car keys in March while we was asleep upstairs, and something like this always kicks you into gear to protect your property, we have a new security light on the rear, anti snap cylinder locks, and alarm sensors on all downstairs windows, problem is none of the cars on the drive are worth nicking anymore, but at least there in place for when I get a new car.

Personally I'd say thats the better outcome.
I wouldn't a car back again after a theft?
