No sympathy from me. Yes we all enjoy a blast from time to time, but driving at those speeds in a built up area is bloody idiotic.

+1
We've all done it, but 70 in a built up area is just fcucking insane.

Guess you have never made a bad judgment call in your lives? Do you wear halos above your head?

Not that I am condoning any of the actions, especially not the dude who obviously spends his time being a muppet, but maybe the girl just happened to make a bad judgement call and in one of those chaotic twists of fate, all the numbers unfortunately added up.

That wasn't a bad judgement call though was it ?
No-one should judge that it would be safe to do 70 in a built-up area, let alone race at that speed.

And to do it with passengers in the car is, I'd provocatively suggest, bordering on manslaughter if the worst happens.

I once had the experience of an ordinary battered up Fiesta with 4 passengers overtake me (in a WRX classic) on a dual carriageway, and go around the upcoming roundabout so fast that I swear 2 wheels lifted off for a split second.

I flew past and got well away before the next roundabout, to remove his temptation to do it again because I was 'on his tail'.

I've been overtaken in a 20 with houses and parked cars by an idiot.
I haven't put my foot down, I've let them go.

If I dare say they were judgement calls, not red mist that ended up in a red sea of blood on the road.

If it does get to anyone I suggest they satisfy themselves that they are absolutely guaranteed not to have a death on their conscience if they don't 'engage'.

Put your halo back on and make a cup of tea o'lord.

We have all done silly things, especially at 19. I know I did some silly stuff in my car,...the difference between you and I, is that I am happy to admit it, you are merely going on about all your vast number of experiences where you acted with god-like behaviour - If you where like that at 19 as well, no wonder you ended up like you did

Ironic that.
Instead of the 'holier than thou' Trinity you seem to enjoy being the repentent sinner.

Some (most?) of us have never had a crash (which was our fault) and never caused one - even when being rash at times.

And here we have you making pronouncements on an incident which whilst it didn't mean life for one person meant death for a number of others.

Still, the charmed life is yours, since you've clearly lived through your period of admitted stupidity.

Not a sinner, just a realist.

Never had a crash either, never been involved in one either for that matter. Thankfully the cards of fate didnt play me a bad hand when I did silly things...same with you eh? Yet here you are acting god-like, when you know, truthfully, you have not always driven at 30mph and your life has not been that of a buddhist monk.

Takes a bigger man to admit it buddy.

Forgive me holier Trinity for I have sinned.

I have not always driven at 30 mph, especially when on Motorways.

I have not lived as a Buddhist, having been brought up a Christian.

That does at least have the advantage (sometimes) of being able to be tolerant of those who think they know all about me and tar me with their brush.

It also enables me to feel for the innocent victims of this tragedy and those left behind.

Oh - and not a hypocrite.

There are idiots in all nationalities, it's just that some seem to have more than their fair share of them.

I don't have one and wouldn't profess that I ever did, let he without sin cast the first stone.

Personally, I find its probably the Christian ideals that make one a moron not the regional area (although Lowesoft might make me debate that). All religions based on stories in books of judgements cause wars and/or kill people.

Now theres a statement.
