Grown up with them.Watches, calculators at school, bedside clock. One of the most amazing companies.Their stuff never misses a beat.
Decided to chuck the Swiss watches in a draw finally. My plastic W-800 just does it all .For £15.00.
Just how do they do it,make brilliant watches, clocks etc, and we cant.Bit like Honda.Amazing
Does anyone come close to their brilliance?

On my second in ten years, I chuck them when the battery runs down.
I have the W59, loses about one second a month, does 12/24 clock, day/date, 50m water proof, has a light and the lithium battery lasts ten years....and has a stopwatch.
All for the amazing price of £7.99 delivered!

I've owned a G-Shock for years that has been subjected to harsh treatment yet has only ever needed replacement batteries. My last 'good' Swiss watch recently went for inspection as it had stopped: £295 quote for a service, and that's providing nothing needs replacing. G-Shock time again.

Plus its not so gutting if they get broken or stolen.
All my Swiss watches were stolen. Didn't bother replacing them.
Found my Casio databank whilst sorting out some old stuff (rememeber parents buying it for me whilst in Cyprus in the late 1980's/early90's)...needs a new strap, dammit...can get a new databank for £40

This thread is very timely for me. The other day, my own 6-month old 50 quido Timex dodged me by becoming 25 minutes behind. Just as well I check my times on my Apple gadgets as well, or I would have been late to work. I manually re-adjusted the time and it's working fine, now. However, once bitten, twice shy. I cannot trust it. So, I shall buy a Casio and just wear it on my left wrist while the Timex can stay on the right wrist. Mind you, I may just wear both on my right wrist. Left wrist can be saved for a FitBit. Not that I've got it, but I may just buy that as well, as every other fccker is showing off their FitBit these days regardless of them getting any fitter! I must, too.

I still use a Casio 'fx-120' calculator that I bought in August 1981 for college. All it ever needs is new batteries every few years and it just keeps going. Considering it will shortly be 35 years old, it's remarkable.

On a less pedantic note, however, yep - I have two G shocks and apart from one with a flat battery (the other is solar) they are literally bombproof.

I seriously thought that Loz was putting them in a draw; like a lottery draw or something like that- for some charity or alike.
500 000 pounds!!!!???? No way!!! I'll buy one up to 30 quid cost, and see what happens.
