if there any white letters on the top of the r180 diff you have ,should help identify it .

R160's have the breather in front of a backplate bolt (which you have to remove to undo said bolt), R180's don't afaik.

i had to remove the breather to get the back plate off. the pinion wheel has 10 teeth and the crown wheel hs 39 i think that means it is a 3.9 diff .is that right .if it is did they come on a 2003 sti uk .it is a lsd .one shaft is 22mm thick the second shaft is 25 mm thick any one help .is one shaft a 160 and the other one a 180 shaft. what car did it come off
