relay clicking behind instrument cluster - 06 sti

Recently I've started noticing what sounds like a relay clicking on/off when sitting at idle at lights/junctions etc. It also appears to increase engine load also slightly whatever is being switched on/off its not constant like between 30s - 1m it would switch.
No cel lights
No air con on
Does it have a smart alternator and wonder is it that kicking in & off?
Now that ive noticed it, it just annoying me!!
