I have Imported WRX and have the silly fog light stuck on the back bumber to make it legal here.

I'm pretty sure I saw a link last week sometime, saying that you can convert one of the reverse lights into a fog light, anybody know where the link is, or how to do this.

From memory a guy by the name of Farmer Joe was an expert in this area and he had a web site. Hope this helps to locate him.

 

Don't know whether this would be legally acceptable but it should be possible to colour the clear section on one side red and then take the wires from the separate fog back inside, clip the reversing light wires and safely blank them off and connect the fog light wires to the wires that lead to the old reversing light. Check the bulbs are the same wattage before you start (they should be 21 watt I think).

 

As you suggest but just paint the bulb red, leave the lense clear.
