Got a call from Danny Dunbabin, former Service Manager at Intermoto Liverpool, which closed last year.
There's a new Subaru dealership opening in Widnes, called Mainland Subaru, formerly a Citroen garage I think. It opens around the end of the month, but they are taking bookings now, and also give 10% discount to SIDC members.

Is this anything to do with Danny?
The reason I ask is because he too called me to let me know he was doing independant services etc. a while ago.
I took my car to him for a service and was thinking of asking him to do some other work on my car.
Has he gone back to Subaru or is he still on his own??

Monks Heath - Excellent?????

had my 54k and 60k services and didn't have no probs - they let me use an office to do some work while i waited as its a fair drive back!
Intermoto - forgot to register my car with subaru, then closed 2 weeks after me buying it! - So monks heath to me are doing 1,000,000 times better already!
Lost my car for over 2 weeks while sorting the problems i had (wiring loom fault) with lots of phone calls to lots of people in subaru and a few heated discussions with Danny!
Steve from monks heath was excellent sorting things out with Jaguar (sister company to intermoto) and subaru.
Thanks also to Danny who eventually got subaru to regester me on the extended warranty scheme (although i think Jaguar footed some of the bills - 2 week hire car etc
)
Will be interesting to see how this new dealer does - Danny knows his stuff so should be good!

Well as I'm the only one he hasn't called I'm going to sulk now 
Like everyone else, I've a lot of time for Danny. But unless it's guaranteed he is working on my car I'm still travelling 100 miles.
Don't fancy a bunch of Frog Fixers more accustomed to 2BHP than 300 playing with the Scoob.

then again he doesn't know who i am so can't complain really.
can't wait!! heard dan's name mentioned favourably many times and although e.s.jones in deeside have been great 3 miles is always better the 53 to get parts/service.

i've been using AJ White in blackburn as MY01 is under warranty. although they have been excellent, it's nice to have a closer main dealer.

buying my first scoob in the next couple of weeks (depending on me finding one!) My mate who has just bought a clitsubishi uses R and C develpoments @ barnton.
They seem pretty good. Anyone had ant dealings??
