yes the tuned smarts do 110-120mph and just love sitting on the **** of bmws he! he!

 

Where's these stats come from???

I'd say vectras/mondeos/focus (or any big sellers) would be the top gatso victims. OR is the stats based on a percentage of cars sold? (e.g. 10% of porsches in the country caught etc..)

 

The stats come from a survey conducted by that bastion of accuracy AutoExpress magazine.

Porsche owners don't care... they have loads of money and are generally posing to much to see the camera's....

Saab... think they have something to prove and lets be honest to buy a saab there must be a few screws missin' so do they see the camera's???

and Smart... Well not sure really... never met a smart owner...

As a 911 and old 900 owner I must have about a million points on my licence!

 

You should see the Smart drivers over here they think they own the road even more so than the BMW and Mercedes drivers. They are like a rash on society over here there are millions of them and to make matters worse Mercedes are building a new manufacturing plant in Böblingen/Sindelfingen to make more of them.

Before coming into the thread I decided BMW, Ford, Renault, but having thought about it, these makes spend 90% of the time on the motorway where there is still not that many Gatso's working (even on the M25).

Porsches spend all their time around town posing so it makes sense.

As for Smart's there are a lot around here, including a black AMG version - it is quick and the guy is a nutter so that sounds about right.
