I even took the pannel under the steering wheel off to try and find the Bas***d red and black plugs. The best I got was a black male and a female plug with only one wire going to each, but this was all the was over by the centre consol and only looked to be about 10 - 15mm wide, so I ruled these out.

Does anybody have a pick of where they are on a UK MY97 turbo?

How long do I need to disconnect the battery for to have same effect. When I reconnect the battery, do I just drive, or do I need to go through all that throttle and flashing engine light stuff?

Cheers,

Rob

Hi, mine is MY98 and the plugs are Green and Black. They are behind the dash, in line with where the steering wheel is. You shuoldn't have to remove any panels or anything. If you look up behind the dash in the cavity above the pedals you should see them, they may be taped up.

I got some instructions on here a while back :

Turn off engine, connect plugs, turn on ignition without starting, press and hold accelerator for few secs, release pedal then start up. Check engine light should start flashing. Drive for at least a minute keeping above 10mph, stop car, turn off ignition then disconnect plugs.
