Question

Just got a second hand Saab 9000 for long motorway journeys.
Anybody know the best way to get rid of the smell of tobacco?

Start smoking. within a pack, you'll not notice the smell at all.

....after a few more packs you'll stop being able to smell anything!

Alternatively someone at work with a pooey, pukey baby was raving about that Fabreze stuff. You spray it on to any fabric and smells disappear as I understand, including tobacco.

Comfort do a spray freshner thing which is much nicer (& doesn't make you feel sick!!)

I was sick all over the dash board / windscreen / floor / myself a few years ago, and fabreeze did the trick, or at least got rid of the smell. The car was disgusting after I did it, following a stomach bug and a long drive back from Liverpool After a clean and a loads of fabreeze, it smelt the same as before

Give it a try, you won't be disappointed mate.

There are various anti-tobac airfresheners to be had in the supermarkets.
Febreeze do a spray specifically for baccy smells and i'd imagine this to be the easiest to apply...just point n squirt innit

As mentioned above, have you considered starting smoking? I know it tastes awful to start with but if you persevere and fight through that stage, it gets soooooooo good

How about a full valet, and see if you can get some new ashtray inserts. I've heard that helps

The cheapest way would be to drive round with your windows open!! As long as you don't mind suffering from frost bite in the winter months!!
