As the title says, I need a reliable courier service who can actually deliver the parcels to the right address on the right day!
Anybody got any experiences with ANC,Parcelforce,Amtrak etc? Just don't mention Citylink!!
It needs to be a national service rather than local so no "Dave and his van" type suggestions!

Cheers

Jason

Cool

JayCee

Are you looking S'day or Overnight or Both?

Where are you?

I know of lots of courier co's throughout the UK, mainly Sameday, but Overnight too. Please feel free to either drop me an email or give me a ring.

if it smallish and under 2kg try Royal Mail Special Delivery, next day delivery before 12pm insured up £250 in the price, and can be increased up £2500. also consiquncial(spelling) losse is also avalable up £5000.
starts at £3.60 upto 100g
£3.95 upto 500g
£5.15 upto 1KG
£6.45 upto 2KG
£18.40 upto 10kg
after that i think off the top of my head, over 2kg Parcel Force Data post is quite competative.

We use DHL for 'normal' deliveries. They seem OK but not very flexible

For more flexibility on 'special'/ really urgent orders we have started using 'Lancashire couriers' I can send you details when back at work if you want.

Thumbs up for TNT

We use TNT. They have never lost a parcel and have always turned up when we wanted them to.

Also used Amtrak for a short while until they lost a brand new PC and monitor that were going up to London. I think that the DELL sticker on the side gave away what it was and some one thought 'I'll have that'. It was found about 3 months later in a secret area of the local depot. Apparently it happened a lot in that depot. After that we dropped Amtrak and just used TNT. TNT's prices are not the lowest but you get what you pay for, reliable service.

We use TNT at work and they've been ok so far, but I'd say none of the big hitters are without fault - they're all capable of f**king up a parcel or a delivery date as easy as the next one ..

Happens a lot, at my previous employer, we went through a stage of receiving pallet loads of IT kit, all shrink wrapped, but when you opened the boxes, the PC's were missing CPU, memory, disks etc, and the flat panel boxes were empty. They went missing in a secure bonded warehouse!

I recently used DHL @ Home. Ordered online at about 7pm, collected from my home next morning before 9am. Delivered within 48 hours for under £10 for approx 9kg and £100 value, insured.
