Does anyone know when this is likely to happen? Cannot really justify it to myself to pay £299 for the console and a bit more to have the same setup as I have now with my PS2!

I know the X Box is the one to have and it will probably rule the console world over the next few years but I would rather get one when they are a bit cheaper.

Anyone any ideas?

 

You won't see a price reduction for a long while yet - Christmas perhaps ?

 

Trouble is the price will reduce when a competitive product comes out.... and then you will be wanting that one..... It's a no win situation. Go ahead and treat yourself, I'm sure you deserve it

BTW I had a look round last weekend and Debenhams seemed to have a reasonable deal...now I'm wondering whether instead of paying cash, I should open up a Debenhams store - card don't you get 10%-20% discount on all purchases the day you open it? I know the interest is **** but if you pay it off straight away you could save £35 - £100 depending on what you buy!

The PS2 has had two major price drops since it came out, and way before the Xbox xame out? I personally wouldnt expect MS to drop prices before Xmas but fingers crossed.

Well I bought one at the weekend after much debate. I am still stunned by Rallisport and PGR. PGR is the best arcade based driving game I have ever played. Need more Kudos !!!!!!!!!
