Glad to hear that the earthing produced positive results for you!!!
Good point about supporting the negative battery connector; I've seen additional steroid-enhanced connectors at the Autowave so I'll take a look at those to see if those work any better.

Sorry about delay. Trying to get flowers sent to Girlfriend for tomorrow..... I could be in the "Poo" !!
"Yes mate". Rewired it in"Maplins" 4 AWG wire rated at 70 amps. £2.29 for 1/2 meter. Did it using cable as black costs more and is really clear dark brown !!. Also wouldn't you agree "red" looks trick.....!!! I managed to do 5. points. I used large cable eyes from a electrical trade shop. "Maplins" are too small. Crimped them on and covered with "Shrink sleeving" to protect .
1. Alternator
2.Left and Right Bulkhead area's
3.Manifold x 2.
The one problem I did have (and was mentioned by some one was > How do you connect these all to battery., I made up bracket to come off battery with 3. holes in it ,I Bolted 2 x cables to the first hole and 3 to the next. The last one I bolted a small rubber door stop under it to support the extra weight from damaging battery terminal. I do hope you are getting this ...... Well what they said about the stereo sounding better is true. And it does seem to pull better about 2000-3000 rpm.
I put 3 x leads on mates B.M.W tonight as his only had 1. His car does idle better now.
GOD I wish I had a digital camera !!!
Give it a go.£30.00 its worth it

Legacyb4 (WHAT IS YOUR NAME!!)And his web site started this whole thing off!!Address above. It sounded good to me . Lets be fair most electrical problems stem from bad earthing.

To be fair as well, this is *not* an original idea by myself; rather this has been kicking around on the Japanese sites for the past several months and owning a car that benefitted from the modification, I felt it was only fair to share the info with the rest of the world!

Luke, B4, could you explain what benefits you've had from doing this? I've suffered intermittent & hard to find misfire on an old motorbike before, turned out to be a corroded battery earth, but what benefits have you accrued?

Just out of interest, I spoke with the service manager at my local Subaru dealer about the earthing mod. Specifically I was interested in whether they could see any detrimental effect to running these extra earthing wires.
Bottom line was "no problem" and he even went as far as to say "the wiring is one of the most expensive parts of a car to build, so if they are looking at keeping costs down, that is one area where they will use the least amount of wiring (and lower grade) possible."
I think I'll give it a shot when I get a spare moment.

Has anyone tried this on an Impreza that has a flat spot between 2000-3000 rpm. It looks like it may be up to me to try it as I am getting fed up with the hesitation in the car. Between 2000-3000 the car feels like it is hesitating and also when I am deccelerating the car lunges. Will this possibly help my car.

Wow, it feels like I'm addressing questions about earthing all over the place, but you'll be happy to know that yes, the earthing system will help your WRX as it did the B4.
Some honorary WRX members of my mailing list (as well as many, many Japanese websites) have installed one version or another of the system with positive results.
Don't be frustrated; it's not an expensive DIY and will only take max. 2 hours if you have the right tools... (I can see that I will have to reshoot and redocument the DIY guide for easier to follow instructions!!!)
