Are traders allowed to sell cars as private in For Sale section?
Could anyone or even mod confirm this. Theres a trader selling cars in For Sale section and I have a particular urge to screw the robbing little swine.

As you can see, I'm not over impressed with my dealings with him and it turns out he is a trader.

The Scoobynet "FOR SALE" forum is for non-commercial private sales only. If you wish to advertise commercially on Scoobynet please contact webmaster@scoobynet.co.uk or shaun@scoobynet.co.uk to discuss Banner Ads or Scoobyshop.
Thanks
When he bought my car there was no mention of him being a trader. Bit of digging shows he has indeed sold a few cars - lets hope the £2K he made on my car has been declared

The car he is selling now isn't mine. He bought mine this time last year. I sold it for 6 and he had it up a few months later for 7.5. It needed new rear pads and was a little overdue a service (I did it 6 monthly). I offered to buy it back when he claimed he was skint but came in quite low as I'd made the decision to get a Lancia - I didn't go down the small claims as it would cost more than the plate and the plate would not go on a 1992 lancia anyway.
Reading the emails, he made the suggestion I give him the full costs to change the plate but as he said he could not even afford to tax the car, I felt I was probably going to lose the money and the plate.
Not declaring profits made on selling vehicles privately (as I understand it) is tax evasion.

Being a trader of course changes after sales responsibility a lot. None of this "sold as is" business.
Doesn't sound like a very experienced trader though. Have you ever heard a trader mention making a profit
Rather it's "well it's going to cost me guv, (sucks breath in), but seeing as it's you.........."
