Default Crappy service from scooby clinic

Ordered a knock sensor told them exactly what car it was, even offered the chassis number, sent me the sensor with the wrong connector on it, phoned them was told mine was probably replaced with the wrong one before. Strange as it perfectly matched the connector on the loom. Then was promptly told if you don't like it send it back. £4.99 for postage sent in original part box no packaging whatsoever. Nice one last time i ever do business with you! TBH the atitude of the guy on the phone if i was local i would have taken it back personally.......

It is a bit unfair to delete all the posts that were in this thread, as some were fair and unbiased!

Hi,
If you check your answer phone message you will find I called you as soon as I was made aware of your issue, I also explained that it is a genuine Subaru generic knock sensor and that if your car has the aerlier brown plug its a simple case of clicking a retaining pin on the plug and swapping it over, a few seconds work.
Cheers

I cant believe a perfectly balanced discussion about a supplier has gone Awol. The moderators can move it? it does not have to be deleted. no one was kicking off.

All of the threads everywhere that say thanks or give praise to XXX supplier should be deleted if that is the case, wether it be scoobyclinic or anyone else, otherwise someone looking for good and bad points to make a decision on who to use has a very skewed view of things.

mine has a grey plug and there wasn't an answer phone message at all.

At the end of the day when i ordered it whoever it was took all the details for payment etc. I was left asking are you sure you know what i need (i've heard good things so trusted you). My main concern was they way that i was spoken to when i called about the wrong connector. Whoever it was would never speak to anyone like that in person, patronising etc then aggresively saying well if you don't like it send it back etc. Keep in mind we all weren't born with a spanner in our hands it was a daunting enough job with out the confusion over the connector. On sidc somebody commented that £100 was dear for a knock sensor rest assured you came in by far the cheapest out of four places i tried.

i think the pins are different in a couple of the plugs they won't swap over i tried one the other week as it had been ordered wrongly and it wouldn't have it, it's something like the brown and grey dont fit but the brown and white does

Default Why

Is it whenever this place comes up for discussion and its not complimentary that everyone goes into flame mode and mud slinging. Its partof the forum to air your experience be it good or bad.
It is also helpful when choosing a company to either use or avoid. At the end of it its a personal decision.

I had a very poor first visit to scoobyclinic and have never been back.

Then alot of people have nothing but praise for them. Guess it was just a bad day on their part........... but fitting standard parts when i paid for upgrades is unacceptable.

Id like to know why my information was deleted, If they were worried it was made up I can supply days and times of when these things happened, Its terrible you cant tell the truth just because they may sponsor the site, Infact by not deleted the good threads your no better then Zimbabwe and Mugabe using what tactics you want to make a company look a certain way when its clear that there is a Problem with them dealing with customer relations but this happens EVERY TIME there is a negative comment about them, the idea is they read the negatives and there left there for others to see, then they (The company) get there finger out and improve it, people will then praise them and we all go in the right direction,
Start deleting and you start a president for the whole site, which is a bad bad move for the long term survival of any site, I can supply a list of such moves made on other sites over the years and its always had a negative affect on the sites,
We dont find threads being deleted if someone has a moan over a TV etc why??
Because whats the chances of someone from Sony/Panasonic etc flicking thru and complaining??
We cant have double standards its the wrong way to go.

end of the day,the forum doesnt care about good/bad feedback.

its just bad feedback threads go on for ages and are still near the top for weeks where good feedback ones dissapear into the ether.

A good reputation company get bigheaded and cocky so can be worse the longer they run as so much good feedback has been said they just say, "your one person moaning, look at our good feedback"

same old scoobynet if a dealer gets slated it's allowed to stay but if it's a specialist then all the bad stuff gets deleted and the good stuff stays

well heres an experience i encountered at scoobyclinic.when i first started modding my sti8,i ordered quite a few parts from them.one part being a decat downpipe.could i get it to fit?,could i hell..even cut the top gearbox bolt bracket off it.phoned them up,sent it back, think i was sent a classic one by mistake.couple of days later i had a much more expensive one sent to me free of charge, with there sincere apologies.and id left them with there other one that id hacked to peices!!!!.thats one of my experiences of scoobyclinic.and like thousands n thousands of more than satisfied customers, cant wait untill my next visit.
just remember guys, we all make the odd mistake in our lines of work, but i personally beleive none of us have the passion and comitment in our work that all the scoobyclinic boys have in theres, n that can only be a good thing for all of us scooby owners.

this is true. but at the same time, if i did make a mastake. id sort it out

personaly i dident recieve this.
the way i see it is, your paying a company for a service.
if it goes wrong, it needs resolving.

i'm not going into detail. but a company should practice what they preach
dont assume somethings wrong till its been checked

i throught they were ok, till i got in touch as there was an issue.
then it went **** up from there

i made a post for advice, which dident help.
but being a company. it should have been resolved
no questions asked!!!

but if they dont, they deserve what ever comes...

i cannot praise those guys enough!, cheers, pete.

not overly relevant, but i emailed Safety Devices about a new age roll cage, they said they did them but i would have to contact thier impreza cage dealer, who is scooby clinic.

i havent done yet as i fear the service i might get! lol.

on a more positive note, my car is with Zen at the moment, and thus far they have been excellent!
