Just bought another scooby yesterday, a 2004 Japanese import.

A previous owner had the original boot spoiler replaced by a carbon fibre wing, which looked very nice. However, when fitted, the 3rd brake light was removed (or perhaps Jap cards don't have them ?).

I want to keep the carbon fibre wing, what alternatives do I have to get a thrid brake light, which I would like for safty reasons ?

 

I removed a prodrive spoiler from my car and replaced it with a lip spoiler. Anyway with the lip spoiler I got a break light that fits on the rear parcel shelf within the rear windscreen. Subaru supplied part.

Dont think it should pass a u.k MOT without a 3rd brakelight. Werent they made compulsory after 1998?

 

It came with my lip spoiler, so didn't pay anything in that sense. I'm sure they will sell them separately and cheap. Just give your local dealer a call.

 

Mine passed the M.O.T. without a third brakelight.

 

I'm in the hunt for a 3rd level brakelight however I ain't payin the dealers £216.00 for one.....
