Try:

http://www.bargainsunspecs.com/acatalog/index.html

I can't vouch for them, but they seem cheap. I would have tried them but I needed a new pair of Oakley's before I went skiing a fortnight ago and ther delivery time was too long.

Did buy a pair of X-metal Juliets in the end tho...

Ben.

Edited to make link active.

Hi

I am looking for a new pair of Ray Bans. All the prices in the opticians are silly. Any body know of an online site that sells them cheaper than retail. I want a real pair (not rip off) and want to avoid getting stung for import duty if possible, unless that works out cheaper than buying them off the shelf.

Any ideas.
Cheers
Lee

Dunno if Rayban pricing is as bad as Oakley in that Oakley dont let retailers sell them at anything less than their RRP - hence why you dont see online offers. Not sure if this is still the case. I got one pair in the states and saved £45 and another from my brothers surf shop where he gets 25% discount.

Cool

I bought a pair of Oakley X-Metal XX last year and managed to get a free Vault case thrown in. They usually retail at around £45-50 for the larger X-Metal frames so not a bad deal all-in-all.

Let me know if you are interested and I will post the Company's details.

I just bought Rayban Predators in Very Dk Grey for £35 including Ray Ban case and hard case in the Eye Clinic sale (Central Bristol). Bargain Sunglasses want £60 for them, they were £81 in another shop

Seemed like a good deal to me Mine weren't the last pair so the Eye Clinic may have more still.

Ray-Bans? Are you going to a blues brothers convention?

Dude, whatever you buy, DONT buy Ray-Bans.

If you want quality lenses, REVO's are the only option. Get some with the arms that spring back to avoid clamping. Only trouble with REVO's is the frames are kinda boring. If you want to look cool OAKLEY X-metal are OK but way overpriced.

I recently bought some frameless Titanium MAUI-JIMS for £150. Not cheap, but they are all polarised which is nice for driving especially in wet/dazzle conditions, very light and not as joe bloggs as Oakleys.

If you want the aviator style, Ray-Bans have been overtaken by Randolph, but these are true aviator style and let a lot of light in because the frame is flat for use with headsets and bone-domes.

Anyone bought prescription Oakleys or Raybans off the web? My local optician is an Oakley dealer but reckons on £200 to £250 for some with prescription lenses. Ow!
