what ones work best and how do they work?

 

just took back a snooper s1 laser detector to the shop basically crap.
doest work until you are right on the gatso camera would probably work on radar gun early enuff but i aint seen one of them round where i drive for years, lucky i suppose.

i'm gonna get a gps system a hand held pc with a gps thing stuck on it and software from TRAFCAM it works by working out where you are via sattalite(to within 3mtrs)and looks at the preprogrammed database as to where the cameras are so warnings can be miles away.
doesn't do laser guns but does tell you of pc plods favorite radar gun haunts

also you can use it an audible speed limiter by pressing the screen when you are doing 60 say,if you go over 60 it bleeps

and you can use navigation software as well,which is nice.

and you will have a handheld pc too

It cost £290

It works by detecting the K band radar signal from Gatso cameras and Lazer guns. It has a digital LCD display which shows you whats going on - i.e. signal strength and type of speedtrap.

The best way to put it is that it makes your driving more interactive...You become more alert...

The only annoying thing is false alerts on small roads (buses and petrol stations set it off), but on dual carriageways and motorways, it works a treat!
