Default Pads wouldn't squeeze into my STI Brembos

I tried to replace the pads on my 05 STI with some Ferodo DS2500's I took the old OEM pads out and pushed the pistons right the way in , then tried to put the new Ferodo pads in , but with the shims attached they just wouldn't squeeze in , they were just a fraction too thick .They measure up the same as the measurements on the Camskil site where i got them,
FERODO BRAKE PADS / FERODO DS2500 - DS2500 Front Pads - STi 2002+ 01/01/2002 onwards WRX STi GDB EJ207 : £149.00 : Subaru Impreza Turbo Parts, Tuning, Spares & Accessories : Brakes - Front Brake Pads -
And it looks like I've ben sent the correct pads (FCP1334H)

Any ideas , am I just being a doughnut .I've changed the brakes on quite a few of my cars over the years , but haven't had this type of problem before
Any help much appreciated

Dave

you have been incorrectly suppied a set of Mitsi EVO padfs which although they are basically the same, there is a variation in material thickness to compensate for the differing disc set-ups between the 2x cars.............

you have FCP1334H which is the EVO pad at 16mm thick and
you need the FRP3067H, subaru pad at 14.7mm..............

you can often get away with the 'wrong' pads if the discs are worn or you leve the shims out

and if you shop around they are available cheaper than that
