Tyre Pressures (Type R specific)
Apologies if this question has come up before, but I'm looking for some advice as to the correct (or best) tyre pressures to run on my STI Type R (version IV)?
When I bought the car a couple a couple of months ago it was running 30 psi on the fronts and 35 psi on the rears and I've since experimented a little - but what have people found the best settings?
Also, the fronts are now badly worn (Bridgestone Grid II's) and I'm looking for replacements this weekend. Can any Type R owner recommend a tyre that particularly suits it's unique handling qualities..?
Any help/advice would be great thanks.
Mark.

Go for a tyre that's known to have a good sidewall. In 16s I think I'd avoid the Goodyear F1 GSD3 as likely to be too floppy.
Bridgestone SO3PPs or similar would be better IMO. Though they're harsher and not inspiring in the wet.
Tyre pressures seem a bit odd, kind of drifty maybe. I'd expect the fronts to be higher because of the weight distribution and the rears to be softer.

Thanks for the advice Vindaloo...
Went for Toyo Proxes for the new fronts in the end. So far, so good.
After some experimentation I'm now running 34 psi on the fronts and 32 psi on the rears. So very different from how I purchased the car.
