Who within reason would buy a cat D documented Scoob?

A car that had a front corner smack, nothing structural, just a replacement of the wing, bonnet, bumper, and the headlight surround panel. The owner has pictures of the car before it was repaired (which I cant get hold of) not much damage, but the insurance still wrote it off.

Is there a general percentage price drop with this mark on the V5 documents?

 

would not bother me if the price was right, and if i would be repairing it myself so i knew that it hadn't been bodged

I bought a Cat D several moths ago, not had any problems with it, got my mechanic mate to look over it before I bought it, it's been in for a service since and flew through it with flying colours!

Just take your time and make sure you are happy, they are generally a few £k cheaper, which sometimes makes them more affordable if you're on a budget (like I was!) As you will know they are generally just cosmetic damage and no structural damage has been noted.

Think about resale too, if you are nervous about buying it remember that potential future buyers from you will be too.
