hi have recently purchased a stolen recovered impreza on an r reg from insurance company .the car was heavily stripped have most of the bits now except engine box and diff ,have just been offered a legacy 2.5 twin turbo with body damage allover so was thinking would the engine etc fit into my impreza as i want to up the performance ,thought this would be a good base to start with would also have the wireing and ecu from the legacy .can any one see any glareing issuse with fitting this has any one done this as i cant find any! also because the legacy is an automatic is it possible to convert to manuel . or is it just easyer to buy an sti engine set and forget the legacy !!.sorry to ask so many questions just thought it goes well in the legacy and it seems to be a bigger car many thanks:thumb: :thumb:

i was told that u have to cut a box section out of the bulk head a box it in to fit the twin turbos in. was looking at this my self but much work

you got ecu and loom so thats ok and as for gear bx bit cant see why you cant change it to manual, might take time to find right manual box to go on and fly wheel, unless you find a performance G-BX and fly wheel but as you know that would be stupid money, and its all about fun.. Just to say hope you do get it done, you will deff have a sweet machine...! also had that thaught, but coast would of been the main issue looking for a scooby project my self.. but have to wait and see.. and as for the turbo bit it most likly will set back more but im sure some of the chaps will have some good ideas to get you out of trouble...! keep in contact would like to know how it goes
