My I have managed to introduce my son to the world of computing lol, I got him a an old Toshiba laptop running Edubuntu (Ubuntu with some bits taken out).

Problem is I can't seem to find any useful kids apps to run on there (Gnome desktop).

My boy is nearly 5 so I want to get some games/apps that are easy to use and will help him develop his letter and number skills.

Anyone know of some good apps (Linux or Windows for that matter)?

go on sourceforge.net there should be plenty on there, tux paint and tux maths is multi-platform and both are pretty good.
