The only thing i hate about them is the sort of 'smear' on the window you get, its weird but at night it can be a pain, but even so i still have mine on and they have been on over a year easy. But the fact you can drive with no wipers on in hard rain is fantastic.
Haha.
Silicon, superb.

cheaper here:

http://www.autotintdesign.com/

and here

Car Accessories UK - Roof Racks, Roof Boxes, Cycle Carriers, Thule, Karrite, Autoglym, Momo & more - Fasteronline (http://www.fasteronline.co.uk)

I spoke to the chap in Leeds (autotintdesign) and you get a bottle of fluid to spray onto the screen, presume its for anti-smear and ensures water slips off screen quicker

I have recently fitted these to my car and they have been very good.

MaDaSS, I know what you mean, by the smear, but most new wipers do it for a while.

Very good wiper. I'm about to replace them after 3 years use!

I bought mine here - free delivery and a good price:

Grossly overpriced. I just use Rainex and apply it once a month so I hardly ever use wipers except in town stop go traffic.

I`d reccommend the sparco single mounting point ones, I had the PIAA ones on mine when I collected it and thought they were useless ;)

Has anyone here who has said they're good value and well worth the money, actually used them without using the piaa wipe thingy that's provided with the wipers?
I've used them without the wipe and they do not make the water bead off the screen. Conclusion:- The wipe is impregnated with a Rain-X type substance and therefore, you would be much better off buying far cheaper wipers and a bottle of Rain-X - the result is the same :thumb:

I disagree. Although i used the wipe initially, i have not used one for the years i have had the wipers on. Like IT TELLS you to on the wiper blade box, every time you wash the screen, leave the wipers running on a clean DRY screen for 5 mins, this coats the screen again, and hey presto, its funnny but, the rain just peels off again.
You pays your money, you takes your choice. :D

Did the 5 minute thing every now and again and although there was a mild improvement possibly, it just doesn't justify the cost for me :D

so how does the rain-x stuff work when you use squidgy washscreen stuff? do you need to apply it again?

Fantastic.

Try Pri Racing (http://www.priracing.com/section.php/39/1/wiperblades-by-piaa/96280e8c08823199a1ba70cdcb8fb242)

May be expensive(ish), but the initial outlay is balanced by the cost of replacement blades (£18 for the pair)
