Default td05 20g fitting 02 STI

Hi all,what a day!
Ive been in the garage all day plan was to fit a AF 20g,headers and uppipe to my 02STIUK.

All started well ic off, down pipe off,vf 35 off, headers off and uppipe off
then the nightmare began.
First off the lamba sensor wouldnt come out so a trip to AJs to get sensor with 4 wire loom.
Got back bit peed off as the traffic was a nightmare.
Next fitted up pipe then headers couldnt get the last bolt in the uppipe(3 bolt flange)
so everything off again to move headers and uppipe so bolt could be inserted.Put it all back on tightened it down
Next tried to fit turbo, firstly aftermarket actuator was tight against header tank so back off to change mount.Try again!
Back on went the turbo (i wish)
Next up was the coolant pipe was hitting gearbox
By now time is running before i kick my car so i decided to put vf back on,on it went (i hate that oil return pipe)
Next up could i get the inlet turbo pipe back on could i heck like.I have a APS t inlet pipe with the rubber connection to turbo it just wouldnt go back on.
By now ive had enough i downed tools closed garage and went home

Any suggestions back in the garage tomoz would rather get 20 g fitted before remap on Thurs.

Aftermarket actuator ? They fit fine with the original actuator they are supplied with.

Yep meant to be turbo dynamics as your original one was meant to be Knackered. Then again if this was your turbo Andy then its been thru the mill,

The actuator was sitting forward and lower down as to yours hence why it was hitting header tank.Anyway times getting on ill post up later what the outcome was.Hopefully get it fitted for our appointment Thurs.

Cheers Andy ,
I wont go into it but basically had to make new bracket to get actuator to sit correctly,
bend a few coolant pipes a bit,
remove studs from uppipe and slacken headers and uppipe
fixed the intake hose to the turbo first then offer it up to the inlet and once in place clamped it.
My mate Ben who helped me was under ramp to check that dam oil pipe, said it was on but after all was fitted wasnt so what a mish that was getting that put on right in situ
Once downpipe had been put back offered the exhaust up and found out it was hitting the car so out come the trusty hammer.
Put intercooler back on and found out that it was hitting the coolant pipe from turbo so had to comprimise and put back the ic slightly slanted with a longer bolt and nut as a spacer.
Coolant pipe from header to Turbo had to be replaced as oe one wouldnt fit.
Anyway got there in the end and all seems well so far part from that fekn heat wrap bedding in.
I was so tempted to give it some but only took it to about 4.5k but it felt nice

You have a classic top coolant pipe on there rather than a new age one, thats why you had those issues. Sorted now though
