OLLIeRB5 18 November 2007, 20:12 i`ve a bailey on mine, personally i`d have wantd the HKS, but beggars cant be choosers.
j16jrf likes mine... and you can make it dump for ages LOL
mad555 18 November 2007, 20:24 HKS SSQV is a good one theres a nut a the back so you can change between a whoosh and a tweet, depending on how tight the nut is.
RB5 Boyo 18 November 2007, 20:56 Yep the bailey is a good simple dump valve, thats wat i have as well. My mate has a blitz on his turbo 2000 and its very loud compared to the bailey!!
Think the one ur after is what they call a rattle-snake dump valve but nawt sure were u wud get one of them at.:wonder: :wonder:
Bailey one is very popular tho!!
petedotuk 18 November 2007, 20:58 I have a bailey dv12 on my newage, easy fitment and sounds good.
badgerface123 18 November 2007, 21:01 forge on my99 is nice......well i like it :lol1:

ulsterscooby 18 November 2007, 21:03 Im using a turbo xs RFL (really f....... loud )
Youve heard mine mate ebay
eBay Motors: Turbo TYPE-H/ RFL BOV Blow off + Adapter pipe 3" XS (item 230191608797 end time Nov-19-07 20:23:38 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo-TYPE-H-RFL-BOV-Blow-off-Adapter-pipe-3-XS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ013QQitemZ 230191608797QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD2V)
Cheap as chips and very loud
I had a hks one fitted but took it off in favour of this
mad555 19 November 2007, 00:22 Always thought it had to be a recirculating one and not a VTA as these can cause damage??
bpm1588 19 November 2007, 10:15 i had a forge on my 99 turbo,it did sound really well.but it was causing some idle problems so i took it off.
also had a hks on my wrx which i got off ebay,it was a load of ****e.might have been a copy, don't know? gave it away for nothing:(
friend of mine had a turbo xs,don't know what the model was but you could adjust it " vta-recirculate and anything inbetween,if you know what i mean.this would give the tweets/hiss'es depending on how it was set.was a good job:)
\\shorty// 19 November 2007, 11:00 i have hks ssqv and have had no problems with it. As discussed before it can be adjusted to suit idling and whatever noise
geoffo 19 November 2007, 13:44 ive a HKS SSV and its pretty kool but i never drive on boost lol!

OLLIeRB5 19 November 2007, 14:30 hks is great, Geoffo was ten or so car lengths behind me and I could still hear it plain as day!!!!

that car might have had a fmic which helps make some good noises
in imho the hks ssqv with the purple bit inside sounds the dogs.....
stevie_g2007 19 November 2007, 19:41 thanx all :notworthy
j16jrf 19 November 2007, 21:38 im buying a forge one this week, had the loan of the HKS and just thought it was too loud for me.
The bailey one is a cracking sounding dump valve, but think i will try the atmospheric forge one
Brian JC 19 November 2007, 21:51 I put a Bailey on my 01 Bugeye about six weeks ago (bought it from Motorstore Glengormley) and have been pleased with it up to tonight. This evening it appears to not be working as the swoosh has gone. I'm now panicking - haven't a clue what is wrong with it. The car seems to be driving the same, just no woosh. Can these thing go faulty? and could I damage the turbo if I keep it on?
davey21wagon 20 November 2007, 09:33 i wouldn t say it would damage ur turbo, just take it back to motorstore, i wouldn t expect a dump valve to break. may have just been a fault in it.:wonder:
