I can only change my DVD region code a limited amount of times on my SONY Laptop. Is it possible to make my laptop region free.

Also currently working abroad, so have limited internet access, can't view most BBS, shopping sites etc etc.

What model laptop is it? There might be a patched firmware available that you could use to make the drive region free.

 

Laptop is a VGN-S3XP I think

 

It might be worth popping over here and having downloading one or more to the tools to see if the drive is locked or not.
