Well I have just had a play on this game, I was expecting it to be a bit different but its the exact same Half life 2 from the PC that was out 2 years ago?? except its for the 360 !! Surely, after all this time has passed they could of at least made the effort to make a different version ??

half life 2 episode two and portal are the new ones - i hope it is different, i've just ordered my copy from amazon (pc version)

 

Opps, your right !! When the game started i just kept pressing "A" so I went into the 1st game, Team fortress is online only and i dont have online for my 360 but i will try those others tomorrow

 

oh I thought HL2 Ep 2 was the second, not the third in the series of games. I've not heard anything about there being an episode one that is different to the original game.

 

There was HL2, then HL2 Episode 1, and now HL2 Episode 2.

The PC version of episode 2 has much much better graphics IMHO.

Motion blur, High dynamic range lighting, bloom etc

Definitely looks nicer

 

How silly of me, thinking episode 2 would actually be episode 2, and not really episode 3!!

Yes it is indeed. You get to drive round in a proper V8 muscle car albiet with most of the bodywork missing. I'll try and post up some pics.

Doesn't look that good on my machine. I have to be in lower detail and only 800x600 I needs to find me the cash for a new PC

 

It looks realy good on the 360, I have it for the pc but my monitor limits the spec

 

I thought the 360 version isn't out until this Friday or did you get it from Gem

as its 2+ years i think since HL2 on the xbox came out i wonder how much its improved

 

Isn't motion blur DX10 (Vista only) Hope not.

Quite looking forward to this and I'm going to make the effort to play TF2 online as I've never had time to play online multiplayers.

I wonder if the naked Alyx mod still works. Makes for some rather amusing screen shots.

 

I have all the effects enabled on dx9, not exactly sure what extra's dx10 gives you.
