Default Front droplinks

I have got a set of Rose jointed front drop links to go onto my alloy front wishbones. (MY00 UK Classic) part number k*c39 i think.

In the pack it shows the fitting instructions with 4x 9mm spacers.
Has anyone fitted these? did they fit the spacers? I think they are the Whiteline replacements for STI's with the alloy wishbones.

Problem is there are no 9mm spacers in the pack. If I do need them, can I make them up in aluminium or is that too soft to use?

Thanks

just fitted these to mine and you will need the spacers but i wouldnt use ally ones as they could deform under the load. any decent motor factors will have the steel ones. hope this helps

Spot on, thanks.

My mate owns an engineering works so it'll give the apprentice something to do.

Has anyone got a kit that they haven't fitted yet?
Maybe they could check the dimensions please?..............Not the 9mm part, I have that one

Cheers 911
Does that show the original bar fitted with one set of spacers and the uprated one using two spacers, i.e. One on each end of the droplink?

In all the 3 pics the roll bars are Whiteline bars. The black one is a 22mm and the silver a 27mm. In both cases the overall width are much the same.
The spacer layout is to get the links as vertical as possible when the car is at ride height.
Even installed as you see them, the links are tilted over at an almost alarming angle, but I've never had any probs with them.
I have a good soaking of silicon spray grease behind the yellow seals.
Graham.

That'll be the roll centre kit, I have my eye on one of them after I move as well as replacing the hardrace ALK with a whiteline one, to me they look different with the whiteline one being deeper and the hardrace one just being a replacement bush.

Oh dear, more money

If my wife's castration technique didn't involve an angle grinder I might have even considered it. She sharpens the discs every time I suggest that the work I'm currently doing would make the car a great track day warrior.

Tell her you love her and all will be well, but dealing with the wife is another strategy...

Right this weekend is fitting time.

I have:

One pair of Alloy wishbones (I have replacement castor blocks but no way to link them )
One pair of Rose jointed drop links. (Including spacers)
Newly painted Struts with shocks and springs (OE UK ones)

My shopping list is:
New lower wishbone front bush
Steering rack bushes
Front ARB bushes (Unsure of the standard UK ARD dia. 19mm maybe?)
Whatever the part is called that uses the two bolts at the back of the alloy wishbones that goes through the castor blocks????

Questions
1. What is the link piece called that goes from the wishbone to the castor block or will there be one on my steel wishbones that can be used?
2. What other things should be changed at the same time?..................... Track rod ends?..........Bottom balljoints?
3. Are the UK2000 Bottom ball joints the same for Alloy wishbones?

Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Can't be too much help, but the piece on the steel wishbones is an integrated part of the wishbone. For the alloy wishbones it is attached by two bolts. Can help on a name right now, but I can drag my parts catalogue out tomorrow and see what I can find out for you

COuldn't find my parts catalogue last night. I can only assume the wife has packed it as we start moving house today. If I find it when we get to the other end I'll get you some details.

If it's the whiteline ones, the spacers came in the pack with mine

Default Spacers

The pack states that the spacers are included, but mine weren't in the pack.
I'm going to get some made up so I'll double the order up for you Stalked in case they are not with yours.
