Cool

Got a letter through the letter box yesterday warning me about my impending 3 years bieng up..and would I like to take the opportunity to take up another 24months warranty.Of course the answer was yes...the 60,000mile warranty was priced at £388.00 and the unlimitid mileage option was priced at £688.00.
i phoned to ask a question what happens if the car mileage is sitting at 58k does the price for the 60k miles warranty mean an extra 60k miles of trouble free motoring or does it mean 2 thousand miles?....and the answer was the latter!!!!....that is absurd i said....the response was ...if you are that bothered you are going to have to take out the unlimited mileage option then arne' you??!!
what a cheek..IM could have been a lot more kinder to us do you not think?

munna, I agree with you on the 60k warrenty if you are at 58k, but a lot of people might only be on 30 - 40k after 3 years so £388 for cover to 60k is not to bad. I on the other hand am on 50k in 22 months so £688 for unlimited cover for 2 more years works out at less than a £1 per day, I don't think that thats to bad imho

Nissan wanted TWO GRAND per year for warranty on a Skyline GTR I looked at - didn't exacly make me want to buy it.

300 to 400 quid is normal for a 2 year warranty extension.

As for the mileage, its always made me wonder: I mean, they normally rule out 'wear and tear' so why does the mileage really matter?!!

Question

688 for 24 months unlimited seems reasonable to me.

Then again, I am used to paying 600+ for a 12 month warranty exension (Mercedes Benz) but not anymore.
