Default Cleaning windscreen glass

Can anyone give me some advice about cleaning my windscreen glass ? I can't seem to get a clean screen inside. I am using Megs NXT Gen glass cleaner and a velour cloth but still get hazing plus I find the velour cloth does not wipe very smoothly over the glass. I spray the Megs on to the glass wipe over and then turn the cloth and wipe again. Advice needed please!

Autoglym Glass Cleaner works pretty well for me - I make do with an old hanky, soft sock or any old soft rag/bit of old tee shirt etc. Take your time and rub thoroughly doing small areas at a time - if you have not cleaned the insides for some weeks, you will be amazed at just how much grime comes off on the rag - which has baked on to the inside of windscreen.

I think Fast Glass is a spray version -I've used this also - not bad for a quick clean. The Autoglym can provide a more heavy duty solution if required but needs a lot more effort than a quick spray and wipe off method.

Zymol HD-Cleanse for us, but with regard to the original query, it sounds like your windscreen has a heavy build up of film on it, hence the smearing. Best bet is to do a wipe down with methylated spirits on a fresh microfibre towel, then use your NXT again and see if it's easier with no smearing. The only time I have seen NXT smear is either when used in direct sun or when the glass is contaminated by a heavy film.

I use Auto Glym Glass polish that I apply using a megs aplicator pad and put on like a polish allowing the product to 'cure', then I simply wipe off with NO smearing. Plus watch it bead when it rains.

Suggest you close your sunroof

The question was asking about the inside of the windscreen.

The best and cheapest way is wipe over the glass with clean water or a damp cloth if your doing the inside windows, once they look fairly clean wipe them over with a clean damp cloth or a folded kitchen towel and then dry the windows with a scrunched up newspaper,no smears, just nice clean windows,oh and no cost.
