View Full Version : Liverpool's new Stadium
BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Liverpool | Liverpool unveil new stadium plan (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/6912346.stm)
Looks a little different to the original design, but capacity going to be nearly 80,000.
Waiting for more pics before I make my own mind up, but fair play to the Americans they've re-hashed the original plans and come up with a design to accomodate 20,000 more seats.
Great stadium for Britian's most decorated club.
Abdabz 26 July 2007, 08:30 Capacity will be 65000 with the option to extend to 75,000. It will never ever have a capacity of 80,000. :lol1:

Looks nice enough though Ash1:thumb:. Is there going to be a trophy room or will they just convert a janitors closet should the unlikely need arise :lol1:
Tee hee hee :notworthy I love our little chats :D
pauld37 26 July 2007, 08:49 Britian's most decorated club.
:Whatever_ For those old enough to remember
richiewong 26 July 2007, 09:38 Definately starting to look more like the massive American stadiums that are popping up all over North America.
Not saying its a bad thing with them being modern and comfortable but will they have any soul and atmosphere.
Actually probably yes as they'll be engineered in.
Overall I like it though, very contemporary
richiewong 26 July 2007, 09:41 But what will it be called:wonder:
davegtt 26 July 2007, 09:43 Undecided on the horseshoe effect, would like to see an ariel picture but its a refreshing change from the bland bowl stadiums that are popping up everywhere now.
STi wanna Subaru 26 July 2007, 10:12 Looks ugly to me. Very 'chav' so should fit in well in Liverpool.

STi wanna Subaru 26 July 2007, 10:37 The 'Kop' bit looks like a giant fancy toaster :D
Sure it will be a superb stadium. Shame about the team :p
DJ Dunk 26 July 2007, 11:04 I pity the keeper who has to concentrate with 18,000 chanting scousers behind him :D
:Whatever_ For those old enough to remember

paul, i know why Chelski dont want to build a new stadium, its cos you cant even fill the current one !
pauld37 26 July 2007, 20:30 ash, you can have an 80,000 seater stadium, more supporters to watch your team fail, again!
richie001 26 July 2007, 21:02 80,000 fans who will be watch Liverpool fight for fourth place with Bolton and Spurs.
