Default FAO Polished Bliss........Need your help!

Hi guys, could do with your help on this one as I want to start as I mean to go on.
Just bought a white 06 spec c and it's in great condition, but I want to keep it that way inside and out, got a couple of fine scratches that need removing just by the door handle and thats it.
Could you recomend some products for inside / outside the car, including the exhaust, spounges, window cleaner, wheels, kinda want everything I need from start to finish.

I hope you can help,

Dave

This is a start https://www.scoobynet.com/car-care-3...hite-grey.html

I use Chemical guys wash bucket with grits guards, Megs lambswool wash mitt.

As for shampoo, I am using and I really like Poorboys superslick and suds.

Wheel sealant again I use Poorboys Wheel sealant. Works wonders and protecting your alloys from brake dust. Just watch it fall off.

Window cleaner I use Auto Glym Glass polish and I think it works wonders.

Hi Dave, really sorry for the delayed reply, clocked this thread earlier in the week, but had no time to reply, and since then been under the cosh with cars to do... working the whole weekend too, my god we're busy!

Okay, as suggested above, the sticky on what to use on white highlights the benefits of the Jeffs Werkstatt acrylic line on white, and this would be what I would use given a choice on white. Add to this a basic wash kit, a Meguiars Quik Clay Kit for six monthly use, plus Menzerna Intensive and a German Pad and a Super Thick n Plush Towel, and you have everything you need to take care of the paint and exterior glass. For wheel care take a look at the wheel kist on our site, there's one for just protecting, and another for cleaning and protecting, and both come with our tyre dressing of choice. For inside, often just a nice dressing like Poorboy's Natural Look and Megs NXT Glass Cleaner is sufficient to keep things looking and smelling spot on. The exhaust tip is best dealt with with regular applications of NXT All Metal Polysh using a German Pad. Here's an easy routine/guide to follow...

Wash (ideally every week)

Basic Wash Kit £34.85 - Basic Wash Kit

Clay (once every six months, to remove bonded surface contaminants)

Meguiars Quik Clay Kit £10.95 - Meguiars Quik Clay

Polish (when needed, to remove fine scratches and swirls)

Menzerna Intensive Polish £12.95 - Menzerna Intensive Polish

Apply using the white side of a German Pad, work in using firm pressure and speed until residue turns clear, then buff. Inspect, repeat if needs be until happy with results - bear in mind though, that removing scratches by hand is damn hard work!

Cleanse/Protect (cleanse every six months after claying, then protect every 4-6 weeks for best results)

Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Kit £46.95 - JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Kit

The Prime Acrylic basecoat is a deep paint cleanser that also lays down a tough initial coat of protection; you should use it once every six months after claying (it serves as a light finishing polish to further cleanse the paint). Acrylic Jett Trigger is a pure spray sealant that should be used to add more gloss and durable protection every 4-12 weeks; the more layers you build up, the better the finish will get. The Acrylic Glos is a quick detailer, and can be used to help boost gloss and lubricate when drying off after washing, and to loosen the residues of Prime and Trigger if you find them hard to remove. Here are full instructions for the first major detail with the products...

After the initial wash and claying steps to remove the bonded surface contaminants (and the spot polishing to remove the scratches), start out by applying a basecoat of JEFFS Werkstatt Prime Acrylic using the white side of the Ultimate German Applicator Pad, and buff off this residue using the blue Poorboy's Super Thick & Plush Towel, using a spritz of JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Glos to help loosen the residue if needs be. Then apply a coat of JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger by spraying onto one of the yellow/coral Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towels, wiping over the panel and then buffing off with the other Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel, again using a spritz of JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Glos to help loosen the residue if needs be. Then simply follow the above routine, adding a fresh coat of Acrylic Jett Trigger every 4-6 weeks. Apply all products to paint and glass.

Wheels (clean weekly with normal suds, top up protection every 4-6 weeks)

Basic Wheel Kit £44.45 - Basic Wheel Kit

or

Advanced Wheel Kit £67.45 - Advanced Wheel Kit

Interior (as and when needed)

Poorboys Natural Look £7.45 - Poorboy's Natural Look Dressing

or

Jeffs Satin Prot £10.95 - JEFFS Werkstatt Satin Prot

...both are best applied using a German Pad. Finish off the windows with...

Meguiars NXT Window Cleaner £7.45 - Meguiars NXT Generation Glass Cleaner

...using a Work Towel.

Exhaust (as and when needed, but frequently enough to prevent tarnishing)

Meguiars NXT Generation All Metal Polysh

Hope that helps, awful lot of products listed, so pick and choose at will! Any more questions fire away, always happy to help.
