Default Tyre - To Repair or not?

Just noticed that there is a split in the sidewall of my tyre, about 1.5" long. It's obviously not all the way through, just causing a 1-2mm flap, if you can picture it.

There is no bulge, so I guess it's not too weakened, as the pressure is 36psi.

I was thinking of putting in some vulcanising solution to seal it back up - 'good as new'? Any experts want to advise me?

If you can see any tyre fabric then the tyre is scrap. Personally if unsure about something like this I would take no chances and replace. I'd be disinclined to try any adhesives on it as it may affect tyre structure.

Invisible, I paid £15 for a nail centre tread recently. I think normal cost is £10-15 depending on where you go. You'll have to pull nail to see if its gone through, if you leave it then it will eventually cause a puncture if it hasn't already.
