Hi mate I had an oil leak on my scoob when I first bought it. It looked like it was coming from sump area but it was actually coming from a burst seal at the end of the crankshaft and running backwards and down the sump. Aparntly its a pretty common prob.I was also getting a burning smell from the oil hitting the exhaust manifold. I just left getting it repaired till I did the timing belt as its a radiator out, timing belt off job just to replace a seal worth a few quid! Probably not much help to you but just thought id sugest it.

rocker cover seal, normaly turbo side as it is getting extream heat (expanding) the cold when not running (contracting), you might get lucky and just need a wee nip up or maby gasket is past it. quite common on boxer engines.
