is it just as easy changin the blubs or soldaring involved? any threads abot this? pics? help:wonder:

IIRC they are push-fit bulbs, similar to those found in newer sidelights.

Remove two screws above instruments, pull out surround, remove screws holding instruments, and pull instruments forward. You can then see the bulbholders. Tip: replace ALL bulbs at once, it's worth it not to have to do it again in 6 months;)

Obviously, cars with the electronic speedo, (post '97), will be easier to deal with than those with the older type of speedo, where you may have to disconnect the speedo cable.

I've just had to do that, It's quite hard to get the dials lighting up well though, even with the new bulbs they seem quite dim!!

It is just as easy as Alcazar says though ;)

Have you clicked on the 'Brightness' button?

Do you have a list of what bulbs you needed?

I have a problem with dim dash lights, any idea how I can brighten it up a tad, so I can at least see how much fuel is left. What wattage bulbs would be best?
