I have just fitted a Blaupunkt Casablanca CD51 radio CD to my 1999 Impreza Sport.

Works fine apart from the dimming of the display when the lights are on. No dimming at all, other than a temporary transient when the lights are switched on.

Any ideas what the problem is?

 

My old Clio had the dash illumination circuit in a different position on the ISO connector as standard.

Could that be the culprit?

iso are supposed to be standard.but the iso on a cavalier is different,the the memory live and the "switced" live are the wrong way round.
