whats some alternatives to the clio 172 considering 2nd hand cars........
prefer german or japanese something sporty doesnt have to be small.
any ideas?

 

Corrado VR6? Civic Type-R? Integra Type-R [I'd go with this one]? Mini Cooper S?

 

I doubt you'll find much that will give similar performance for the price, assuming you are looking for something of similar age.

Scary but correct.
Seat or Skoda over VW, more car for your money, jap wise.... well toyota did try to make a decent quick car in the corolla T sport, but failed miserably, honda CTR/accord type r/s, ford mondeo ST, citroen xsara vts, id say alfa romeo but you want reliability nissan "may" have something you like but the almera has been around a while (GTi), peugeot 406 3ltr coupe? vauxhall?? not sure your willing to go that way? but the newer astra's are pretty good

I don't think there's anything WRONG with them, nearly bought a 182 instead of the Scoob but let's face it, they haven't got a lot of prescence on the road, that's why I changed my mind

 

A bit smaller, but a 106 GTI. Much more fun than any Clio. Much more fun than pretty much anything TBH.
